Análisis del Razer Blade 15 OLED (principios de 2022): Un portátil de juegos compacto con una RTX 3070 Ti

La GPU Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070 Ti para portátiles (móvil, GN20-E6, Max-P, Max-Q) es una tarjeta gráfica móvil para portátiles y la actualización de la RTX 3070. Se anunció a principios de 2021 en el CES y se basa en el mismo chip GA104 Ampere que la antigua RTX 3070 Laptop. En comparación con la antigua tarjeta, la nueva ofrece un 15% más de shaders pero menos velocidad de reloj. Seguirá contando con el bus de memoria de 256 bits y 8 GB de GDDR6. La RTX 3070ti está disponible en diferentes variantes de potencia que van desde la TGP de 80 vatios con un reloj Boost de 1035 MHz hasta los modelos de 125 vatios con un reloj Boost de 1485 MHz.
Ya no existe la variante Max-Q (antes utilizada para las variantes de baja potencia) pero cada OEM puede optar por implementar las tecnologías Max-Q (Dynamic Boost, Whispermode).
El rendimiento depende de la configuración del TGP y de la refrigeración del portátil. Por término medio, debería estar entre la antigua RTX 3070 Mobile y la RTX 3080 Mobile (con ajustes de TDP similares). Por lo tanto, la tarjeta es más adecuada para juegos QHD en detalles máximos (para juegos exigentes como Cyberpunk 2077). Los juegos menos exigentes como Farming Simulator 22 o los más antiguos también deberían funcionar en 4K con los ajustes de detalle máximos.
El chip GA104 ofrece 6.144 ALUs FP32, de los cuales la mitad pueden ejecutar también instrucciones INT32 (es decir, 3.072 ALUs INT32). Sin embargo, la RTX 3070 Ti no utilizará todas las ALU del chip. Con Turing, todos los sombreadores podrían seguir ejecutando instrucciones FP32 o INT32. Según Nvidia, también se han mejorado los núcleos de raytracing y tensor del chip. La serie móvil RTX 3070 Ti utiliza 5.888 de los 6.144 núcleos. Los chips Ampere también incluyen un codificador de vídeo mejorado de 5ª generación (NVENC para H.264 y H.265) y un decodificador de 7ª generación (para varios formatos que ahora incluyen AV1).
El chip GA104 está fabricado por Samsung en 8nm (8N), que no está a la altura del nodo de 7nm de TSMC (utilizado, por ejemplo, por AMD y también para el chip profesional GA100 Ampere).
