Probando la Nvidia GeForce RTX 3050 con 8GB: ¿Cuáles son las capacidades del nuevo modelo básico de la serie RTX-3000?

La Nvidia GeForce RTX 3050 es una tarjeta gráfica de sobremesa de gama media. Está basada en el chip GA106 Ampere y ofrece 8 GB de memoria gráfica GDDR6 con un bus de memoria de 128 bits. Ofrece 2.560 núcleos y es compatible con PCIe 4.0.
El rendimiento es similar al de la antigua GeForce RTX 2060 y, por tanto, es la más adecuada para jugar a 1080p a juegos modernos y exigentes en ajustes altos.
El chip GA106 ofrece 3.840 ALU FP32, de las que la mitad también pueden ejecutar instrucciones INT32 (es decir, 1.920 ALU INT32). Con Turing, todos los sombreadores podrían seguir ejecutando instrucciones FP32 o INT32. Según Nvidia, también se han mejorado los núcleos de raytracing y tensor del chip. Los chips Ampere también incluyen un codificador de vídeo mejorado de 5ª generación (NVENC para H.264 y H.265) y un decodificador de 7ª generación (para varios formatos, ahora incluido AV1).
El chip GA106 está fabricado por Samsung en 8 nm (8N), que no está a la altura del nodo de 7 nm de TSMC (por ejemplo, utilizado por AMD y también para el chip profesional GA100 Ampere). El TDP de la RTX 3050 está especificado en 130 vatios y, por tanto, es mejor que el de la anterior RTX 2060 (160 vatios).
