La Nvidia Quadro RTX 5000 con diseño Max-Q es una tarjeta gráfica profesional de gama alta para portátiles poderosas y workstations móviles. Las variantes Max-Q son versiones con menos velocidad que funcionan de manera más eficiente y se pueden usar en chasis más pequeños que las versiones normales. Se basa en el mismo chip TU104 que la GeForce RTX 2080 Max-Q de consumo, pero ofrece más shaders (128 más). En comparación con la RTX 5000 de desktop, la variante móvil ofrece velocidades más bajas. Hay diferentes versiones disponibles con 90, 85 y 80 Watts de consumo de energía TGP.

Las GPU Quadro ofrecen controladores certificados, que están optimizados para la estabilidad y el rendimiento en aplicaciones profesionales (CAD, DCC, aplicaciones médicas, prospección y visualización). El rendimiento en estas áreas es, por lo tanto, mucho mejor en comparación con las GPU de consumo correspondientes.
Características
NVIDIA fabrica el chip TU104 en un proceso FinFET de 12 nm e incluye características como Deep Learning Super Sampling (DLSS) y Real-Time Ray Tracing (RTRT), que deben combinarse para crear efectos de iluminación más realistas que las GPU antiguas basadas en Pascal, de la arquitectura Pascal de la compañía (si los juegos lo soportan). La Quadro RTX 5000 también está preparada para DisplayPort 1.4, mientras que también es compatible con HDMI 2.0b, HDR, Proyección múltiple simultánea (SMP) y decodificación/decodificación de vídeo H.265 (PlayReady 3.0).
Rendimiento
En comparación con la versión regular Quadro RTX 5000, las variantes Max-Q pueden ser hasta un 27% más lentas (velocidades Turbo más bajas) y, por lo tanto, alcanzar niveles de la RTX 4000 más lenta. En comparación con las versiones de consumidor, las variantes Quadro tienen ventajas debido a los controladores profesionales y la gran VRAM.
En consumo aun relativamente alto de energía de la RTX5000 Max-Q hace que la tarjeta sea más adecuada para portátiles grandes.
