Qualcomm Adreno 642

La Qualcomm Adreno 642 es una GPU para smartphones y tabletas que se integra en el SoC Qualcomm Snapdragon 780G. El chip estará disponible a partir de mediados de 2021 y se utilizará principalmente en dispositivos Android de gama media alta.

Según Qualcomm, la GPU Adreno 642 ofrece un rendimiento mejorado en un 50% respecto a la Adreno 620, su predecesora, integrada en el SoC Snapdragon 768G. Esto se debe también al rápido soporte de memoria LPDDR4X-4200 del SoC.

El Adreno 642 soporta OpenCL 2.0 FP, OpenGL ES 3.2 y Vulkan 1.1.

El Snapdragon 780G está fabricado en el moderno proceso LPPE de 5nm con EUV en Samsung que debería proporcionar una buena eficiencia energética.
