Intel i3-7020U

El Intel Core i3-7020U es un procesador de doble núcleo de la arquitectura Kaby Lake. Ofrece dos núcleos de CPU con una frecuencia de 2,3 GHz (sin Turbo Boost) e integra HyperThreading para trabajar con hasta 4 hilos a la vez. Las diferencias arquitectónicas son bastante pequeñas comparadas con la generación Skylake, por lo que el rendimiento por MHz debería ser muy similar. El SoC incluye una controladora de memoria DDR4 de doble canal y una tarjeta gráfica Intel HD Graphics 620 (programada a 300 - 1000 MHz). Está fabricado en un proceso FinFET mejorado de 14nm en Intel. En comparación con el antiguo i3-7100U, el nuevo i3-7020U tiene una velocidad de reloj 100 MHz inferior (núcleos de la CPU) y, por tanto, es el modelo de entrada actual de la línea Core i3. El similar Pentium Gold 4415U ofrece menos caché (2 frente a 3 MB) y una GPU más lenta.

Arquitectura

Intel utiliza básicamente la misma micro arquitectura en comparación con Skylake, por lo que el rendimiento por MHz no difiere. El fabricante sólo ha retocado la tecnología Speed Shift para realizar ajustes dinámicos más rápidos de voltajes y relojes, y el proceso mejorado de 14nm permite frecuencias mucho más altas combinadas con una mayor eficiencia que antes.
