The display on the Oppo Find N, Oppo’s first foldable smartphone, provided a mixed screen experience. We tested the display in its unfolded state and found that the screen’s brightness was best adapted to indoor use. When taken outdoors, however, the screen’s brightness was unable to go beyond 600 nits (compared with some other current foldable phones that can reach 1,000 nits), making the contents hard to read. The screen also reflected too much ambient light, further affecting readability when outdoors. Otherwise, the display showed smooth interactions in all tested use cases — when gaming, surfing the web, and viewing the gallery, with well-adapted brightness levels for indoor use. The Oppo Find N only displays pictures using the wider Display-P3 color gamut, which tends to give sRGB photos a more saturated look. But the screen’s colors were generally accurate and consistent when viewing photos. The experience, however, was not quite the same when watching videos. Colors tended to be oversaturated, contrast was too strong, and brightness levels were much too low to provide a satisfying video-watching experience.

If, for whatever reason, the Find N forever stays confined to China, we're hoping Oppo keeps this form factor for its second-gen foldable. We also hope it will finally be a global device; there's just no reason to prevent most of the world from being able to enjoy what is an outstanding user experience. And, who knows, maybe a stylus and some water ingress protection will make the cut too, alongside the very necessary third party app optimizations that the original understandably lacks, at least right now.

The Oppo Find N is the most exciting foldable phone that you’ll probably never be able to buy – at least without importing one from China. This is a stellar attempt at a book-style foldable, with premium build quality that surpasses that of Huawei and Samsung in most regards. The small 5.49in cover display provides a more traditional smartphone experience compared to comically tall alternatives, while also providing a smaller pocketable footprint. The hinge system is robust and well-built with no visible gap between the two halves of the display when closed, and the expansive 7.1in internal display looks great with no noticeable crease when viewed head-on. Throw in impressive performance, a strong suite of cameras, and multi-day battery life and you’ve got a stellar foldable smartphone. Let’s just hope it makes it to the West officially one day.

You can go with the Oppo Find N if you are looking for an impressive flagship with a folding screen. This phone seems to be a pretty decent package of hardware, camera, and battery. You get everything covered under this phone from fast wireless and reverse charging. The best class foldable display is presented in the Find N phone by Oppo. In my opinion, you can go with Oppo Find N if you are looking for a foldable phone and your budget allows you. However, the only concern from this phone is heavy in weight and ColorOS UI which might disrupt the user experience with some bloatware applications. If you’ve been using a clean interface for a long time, it will take some time for you to adjust with the foldable phone and Oppo UI. Rest phone seems value for money deal however the final decision is up to you. In case you are looking for an alternative option, the Honor Magic V will also be a good choice, just take a look at it.

Overall, Oppo's first foldable phone, the Find N, makes an excellent first impression with its spot-on size or "golden folding ratio" as the company calls it that makes it almost as easy to lug around as a Z Flip, and yet offering much more. The superior camera hardware didn't translate to much better pictures than those from the direct Z Fold 3 or Mate X2 competitors, at least in daylight, but the photos come out nice nonetheless, as does the 4K video recording and time-lapse mode. Battery life and charging times of the Find N are very good, too, unless you browse or game on the main screen for hours. Above all the Find N virtues that we found in the course of this review, however, towers the main display with the best image quality and the most subtle crease on a foldable phone so far, where the new tailored for multitasking ColorOS interface shines bright, productive, and entertaining.

No long-term commitments or contracts. Folding phones are pretty awesome. Seeing pixles wrap around a radius is still mind blowing futuristic. With so many brands using flexible displays these days, its important to know which folding smartphones can survive, and which folding smartphones.... dont survive. Its time to test the new Oppo Find X.

Other than some camera weaknesses, my time with the Find N has left me with one prevailing thought: I wish that the rest of the world could experience and buy this phone. It’s beautiful, it’s powerful, and other than some hiccups in the software localization, it’s got a lot to offer. The hinge, lack of gap, and crease you can’t feel are top-notch. While it shares similar lackluster battery life with other foldables and seriously underwhelming cameras, I’d much rather use the Find N than the Galaxy Z Fold 3. Oppo made a killer good phone here, and I hope we either see it go international or that the follow-up shrugs off the China exclusivity. For people not into foldable phones, then the Oppo Find X5 Pro is rumored to succeed the Find X3 Pro this year, and it's slated to have a neat design and powerful specs.

The OPPO Find N seems to be a polished foldable device, but there are some flaws that give its weakness away. For example, the two screens have different refresh rates – the cover screen is of 60Hz and the bendable screen 120Hz. Another is the absence of ingress protection. And, the on-battery time is terrible. Overall, the Find N seems to be an impressive first attempt by OPPO at making foldables. It is not perfect, but there finally would be a foldable device in the market other than the ones made by Samsung. Importantly, the launch of the Find N in markets outside China may accelerate the growth and adoption of foldable devices. That said, the foldable future now seems more probable!

If the OPPO Find N came with a global ColorOS build, it would have been an easy recommendation despite its price tag. This is the best foldable smartphone I’ve laid my hands on. The size of it is perfect, the build quality is excellent, and so is battery life. It performs admirably, and the camera quality is good as well. There are really no complaints save for the software that is made for the Chinese market, and there’s nothing you can do about that, for now. Let’s hope OPPO will re-release this phone in global markets, as it would have been a really compelling phone for many people.

There's a lot to love about OPPO Find N. The downsides to Find N are the fact that the outer screen has only a 60Hz refresh rate, there are only two speakers, both at the bottom of the handset, not every app works in split screen mode and some apps don’t sit well on the unfolded display's almost landscape aspect ratio. The latter two issues should remedy themselves over time as OPPO fine tunes the software experience along with app developers.

The Oppo Find N is essentially the same big folding phone formula that Samsung has mastered. It lacks the software expertise of the Galaxy Z Fold 3 but it shows that folding phones work great even when you shrink it – it is supremely comfortable to use. The Find N works as tremendously good as a conventional smartphone when closed; this is a crucial benchmark we believe every folding smartphone should follow.

Although they have been around for almost two years now, foldable phones remain a luxury and a novelty for some people. The OPPO Find N, however, makes the idea not only accessible but even enjoyable. The smaller size makes it less awkward to hold, whether folded or opened, inspiring confidence in using the device. The roughly $1,200 price tag (converted from Chinese price) also makes it a less daunting investment. Of course, it is hardly perfect, and it doesn’t really reduce the risks that come with foldable screens in general. To some extent, it actually makes it worse because of its lack of strong dust and waterproofing. Its extremely limited availability makes all the arguments moot for most people anyway. Still, it’s hard not to be impressed by how much OPPO was able to accomplish with its first try, perhaps making some already look forward to the next OPPO Find N.

The OPPO Find N is a really nice surprise, and even though I tested it for only 6 days, it won my heart. And I still regret that the OPPO X 2021 will not appear on the market. Although I understand that the costs of its production must be huge, but I really liked the concept. There is hope that the OPPO Find N will be well received in China and enter other markets. This product not only competes with Samsung products, but also opens up new horizons of possibilities for bendable smartphones.

Oppo Find N smartphone is the new-gen foldable phone from Oppo that was released in mid-December 2021, and the expected price of this handset is around $1,649 (Rs 1,23,599 in India). From the reports, Oppo is working on this phone for more than 4 years and now it’s in the market. Like any other high-end foldable phone, the device equips an outer screen of 5.49 inches AMOLED, while a 7.1-inches foldable screen is inside. The foldable screen is fabulous as it gets a 120Hz refresh rate, HDR 10 content support, and 1000 nits brightness. All of that bundle with the performance-driven Snapdragon 888 5G chipset and renders an Adreno 660 GPU. As for the software support, the phone arrives with an Android 11 base with ColorOS 12 customization layering. In terms of the camera end, the phone appears with a flagship-level triple camera that includes a 50MP primary sensor, 13MP telephoto, and 16MP ultra-wide. With this setup, you can record up to 4k videos with gyro-EIS and 32MP selfies present on both primary and secondary screens.

As prefaced previously, the Find N is available for purchase in China for a starting price of 7,699 Yuan, which translates to around Rs 92K. For the price, the device undercuts the Z Fold 3 significantly and despite that, puts forth a compelling package with no deal-breaking compromises. Rest assured, the phone has undoubtedly ignited a spark in the foldable segment. Hopefully, OPPO will make its foldable range available globally soon. If we compare the OPPO Find N against competitors, the Find N wins in most cases. The Find N’s screens are clearly superior to the Xiaomi Mix Fold’s screens, which have thicker bezels, slower refresh rates, and a noticeable crease on the inner display. And while the Mix Fold has since gone on discount, if we go by the official retail price, the Find N is cheaper by a thousand-plus yuan or around $200. I can say from my usage, I much prefer the Find N’s form factor and aspect ratio. And judging from many of the comments I’ve seen from my peers in tech media and also readers, I think my opinion is shared by many. But ultimately, it’s the price that makes the Find N a winner. For two years, foldable detractors have mocked the price of foldables. Well now OPPO has made a foldable that is not a cent more expensive than a top-tier flagship. I understand that this is China pricing, and if the Find N gets released internationally, the price will surely jump higher. But even if it gets up to $1,500, this is still not far off from a Samsung Ultra or Apple Max phone.

We have found our next favorite foldable - it's the Find N. Indeed, the Find N made it quite easy to write this - it has an attractive design, an outstanding foldable screen, the cover one is perfectly usable, too, and we are happy with the performance, the camera skills, and the battery life. Not having a crease on the foldable screen was nice, too, while the transition of the content between the two screens with matching colors and brightness literally wowed us. And believe us, this rarely happens these days. The Find N is not an ideal device - there is no official ingress protection, the grip is almost non-existent, we are not fans of the punch-holes, and most importantly - the extremely limited availability. Still, for those of you wondering - the Find N does support Google services, meaning if you've fallen in love with that one, an import from Asia might be an adventure worthy of the hassle. One thing we can say for sure is that the Find N, even if a first-generation foldable from Oppo, gets plenty of things right, and it gets our warm recommendation.

In general, OPPO Find N may be the most perfect and most practical existence in the current folding screen mobile phones. It has the perfect form of the current folding screen mobile phone. The almost invisible “hidden crease” smoothed out the last trace of people’s doubts about choosing folding screens. You don’t need to do multiple-choice questions between function and appearance, and folding, again and again, will not leave the phone scars. It has the most practical ratio of current folding screen mobile phones. OPPO Find N is still the perfect folding screen mobile phone in my mind. Not only has it caught up with the new wave of folding screens, but it has indeed been usable every day. This is a departure from many previous folding screens. After all, the mobile phone is to be used, not just for early adopters.

The Oppo Find N has made me optimistic about foldables once more, and I really do hope we see more manufacturers adopt this design philosophy — a compact, standard aspect ratio display on the outside and a larger screen on the inside. This, along with the barely visible crease in the folding display makes the Find N the most polished foldable to launch this year. It's a real shame it's not launching anywhere else in the world right now, but I'm hoping that it will come to India soon. If Oppo can polish its software, I think it could mean stiff competition for Samsung's offerings

For the few short years that foldable phones have existed, we’ve basically been given two weapons of choice: the full-format folding book, or the clamshell-style flip phone. Huawei or Motorola; Xiaomi or TCL; Samsung ... or Samsung. As Mr. Slim says: you can blow with this, or you can blow with that. Well, it was only a matter of time before someone came along with the best of both worlds: a foldable that would deliver the utility of the tablet … inside the compact footprint of the clamshell. The Oppo Find N is one of the most intriguing smartphones not only this season but for the entire 2021. It is a bit different from the Fold3 and in a good way - the Fold was too big for some, while the Flip - too small. The Find N, on the other hand, is a compact smartphone that unfolds into an iPad mini-like device. And that's just great! It's not all sunshine and roses, though. There is some room for improvement on grip and the way you open the Find. The speakers are oddly positioned, too, but we need more time with them before passing a verdict. And there is no ingress protection, something we believe many have grown to expect since Samsung's recent foldables. We enjoyed our time with the Find N, and we do believe Oppo has a winner here. Despite some hiccups, the Find N is shaping as one of the most innovative phones we've seen in a while. It seems Oppo has plans for a Chinese release only, and we can only hope it considers expanding its availability somewhere down the road - it deserves a broader reach.

Our OPPO Find N quick Review for the Philippines gives us a good idea of what the brand has achieved for its first foldable. It’s a remarkably polished first-generation device that has few of the pitfalls that plagued the offerings of its competitors. The Find N is priced at CNY 7699(~Php 60.8k) for the 8GB/256GB model and CNY 8999(~Php 71.1k) for the 12GB/512GB model. While it is priced lower than the Galaxy Z Fold3, the Find N is available only in China, and there’s no word yet if OPPO will make it available in the Philippines.

The Oppo Find N2, the latest in the company’s foldable line, showed a marked improvement in the screen performance from its predecessor, the Find N, in readability and artifacts thanks to its reflectance measurement. In its default mode, the Oppo Find N2 uses the wider Display-P3 color gamut, which tends to give sRGB photos a more saturated look. But the screen’s colors were generally accurate and consistent when viewing photos, despite a noticeable pink hue. When watching HDR10 videos, the device’s automatic brightness is too low for comfortable viewing, and the user might have to adjust the brightness manually. While the display is well-adapted to indoor use, its brightness can be still be low when using the device outdoors in bright conditions. However, this smartphone features an anti-reflection film, which significantly improves the screen’s readability outdoors.

With a DXOMARK Audio score of 135, the Oppo Find N2 proved to be an all-round strong performer in our tests. In playback, the sound signature was very pleasant, even at maximum volume, but a lack of dual stereophony (stereo output in landscape and portrait orientation) meant that the Oppo failed to really stand out. Playback performance was overall very good when listening to music or watching movies, but it was also quite good for gaming. Recording results were excellent, especially with the main camera. Performance was slightly less good for the front camera and recorder app, but still very good. Recording quality remained good at high sound pressure levels, for example, when recording concerts. A wide rendition of the stereo sound scene also resulted in an immersive experience.

While Oppo might be a little bit late to the foldable game, with Samsung and Huawei pioneering several generations of foldables, the Find N2 is a surprisingly innovative entry into the segment. We are even surprised to report that after showing the N2 to several people, they found it more practical and usable than the Z Fold 4. Too bad the Find N2 will not be available in the Philippines as it is currently a China-exclusive device. If ever OPPO decides to release the next generation to our shores, it will definitely be a proper contender for the best foldable phablet on the market.

The second-generation Oppo Find foldable phones have managed to overcome the shortcomings of the first generation, which makes that a much better deal in the first place. The same goes for the Oppo Find N2 as it can deliver a pretty decent size display with more camera options to tweak, and various custom features. Not to forget, it’s quite lightweight compared to other foldable phones with better performance and camera. But, a little bit of speedy charger or wireless charging won’t hurt the feelings. It’s just a few nitpicking; even then, it’s a dealbreaker for many users. Anyway, the phone is not going on the international market yet (at the time we are reviewing the phone). However, let’s hope that we see the third generation phones on the global stage. As for alternative options, you can consider Xiaomi Mix Fold 2 for better specs but it will cost a little more.

In China, the Oppo Find N2 costs the local equivalent of $1,150 and is available to buy there now. It’s possible to import the phone to the U.S., and expect to pay around $1,500 depending on the store and factors like the exchange rate if you do, but should you? Probably not. I’d had more than enough of the software annoyances after a week or so, and I doubt very much I’ve experienced all the issues the phone will have when forced to work outside China. Expect to run into more than I’ve described here, as our use will certainly differ. That’s before concerns over connectivity, call performance, and a warranty when importing one. There’s very little wrong with the Find N2 when you don’t consider the software, which isn’t the phone’s fault at all, just a consequence of my using it outside China. The lack of an IP rating and the missing wireless charging are the only major feature omissions, both of which are offered by the readily available Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4. The fact the Z Fold 4 is much easier to purchase makes it our recommendation if you’re looking for a big-screen folding smartphone and you don’t live in China. However, this is stating the obvious because Samsung really doesn’t have any competition. It’s the Z Fold 4 or nothing, really. That’s why it’s frustrating that the Find N2 isn’t more widely available with software that works for international audiences. It’s suitably different enough from the Z Fold 4 to entice those unconvinced by the Samsung phone’s unusual dimensions, the camera’s excellent, and performance rivals the best non-folding phone flagships too.

There are two types of foldable phone that matter: large-format book-style folding tablets, and compact flip-style clamshells. Or at least, that was true until Oppo came along with a flexible-display smartphone that tried to carve out a space between. We're not quite in a position to recommend a Find N2 or advise against one, seeing how market specifics don't really present us with a choice. What we can say is that the second generation Oppo foldable maintains all that set the original one apart and made it a unique offering and build on that, resulting in an overall superior product. The displays retain the size and proportions of the Find N - possibly the best package for the most people, only now they get a brightness boost and extra smoothness on the cover. The phone's gotten appreciably lighter, has better cameras and performance and the speedy charging couldn't hurt. A couple of tough decisions had to be made to reach the lightness goals and the wireless charging fell victim, which is a bummer. The relocation of the volume rocker gives us pause as does the speaker arrangement, but that's mostly nitpicking. Ultimately, the one dealbreaking issue for us is not an issue with the phone itself - it's the fact that we can't really have one, not officially, and not with the software we're used to using. Let's keep our fingers crossed then that the Find N3 will finally make it out of China.

Obviously, foldable phones have now become available to the general public. For one thing, they’re still quite expensive, and not everyone will like the form factor. I must admit that I’m impressed with the Oppo Find N2’s build and design as well as the in-hand comfort. It’s wonderful to see the folding phone category thrive in terms of design and performance. The smaller size of the Find N2 appeals greatly to people who find the Samsung Fold 4 to be too long and narrow. It’s also great for one-handed use when folded, and it has a dependable camera setup and battery backup, not to forget the great 120Hz displays and 67W fast charging. Overall, I believe that this is one of the best foldable phones currently available. It is incredibly well made, with no gaps, barely any creases, and a sturdy folding mechanism.

So, all in all, I think the OPPO Find N2 has phenomenal hardware – especially the hinge. The cover display aspect ratio is definitely up for debate as I prefer something taller but not as tall as the Z Fold 4. I personally find the nearly square unfolded display quite difficult to use – and to grab the phone with one hand. I still don’t know if OPPO will sell this phone anywhere else in the world because according to Android Authority, the global launch for the Find N2 is still under discussion.

In general, OPPO Find N2 is not a simple product iteration, but after the first test of the Find N small screen folding, it has carried out a major transformation in weight, performance, image, system, and screen. , with a basic configuration of 12+256GB and a starting price of 7,999 yuan, you can own a compact, lightweight, and full-featured folding machine. It is the best choice for using a folding-screen mobile phone for the first time.

Needless to say, foldable phones are now for everyone. They’re still quite pricey, for one thing, and the form factor also doesn’t suit everyone. If you tend to get your phones wet, this device is not for you, definitely. Also, there are some quirks with ColorOS that you may want to avoid, mainly because this build is not for global markets. On the other hand, this is the best foldable hardware out there, in my opinion. It’s incredibly well built, with a gapless design, minimal crease, and a very reliable folding mechanism. It’s also great for one-hand use, when folded, and it has a reliable camera and battery life, not to mention great displays and fast charging. Figure out what you want, and then weigh your options. It’s difficult to fault OPPO for IP rating and wireless charging considering they were aiming to hit this form factor. Both of those would make the phone bulkier.

The Oppo Find N2 is a clean refinement of the company's debut foldable that keeps what made the first Find N unique while addressing some of its biggest weaknesses. If it were launching outside of China, we'd be excited about the price/performance balance it appears to strike, but as only the N2 Flip is set to go international, it becomes another China exclusive that remains out of reach.

While there’s a big question mark over how much this device would actually cost if it was launched outside of China – plus some reservations about the software, there’s no doubt that the hardware on show here is brilliant and defies the ‘difficult follow-up’ tag. The price chat is probably moot since we don’t think this will be launched globally but it means that future Oppo foldables are a mouth-watering prospect.

The Oppo Find N2 Flip foldable smartphone is a rival for Samsung's Galaxy Z Flip 4 and the Motorola RAZR, and the global model is launching soon! As well as the Fold model, the Find N2 Flip just launched at Oppo INNO Day 2022, boasting respectable specs, a 4300mAh battery and decent camera tech. While the regular Find N2 isn't coming to the UK, the Flip version should launch globally in 2023. This compact foldable phone sports Oppo’s second-gen Flexion Hinge, which is more robust than the original. You get a proper big 3.26-inch cover screen, while the Oppo Find N2 Flip's internal screen has ‘nearly no crease’ allegedly. According to the manufacturer this is better vs rivals like the Samsung Z Flip 4 and the RAZR, but we'll see when we do an actual unboxing/review. The Find N2 Flip runs off an exclusive version of the Mediatek Dimensity 9000 Plus, as found in beefy phone like Xiaomi 12 Pro and ROG Phone 6D - but here it's optimised for a smaller form factor. And you have a 4300mAh battery, not too far off that found in the Find N2! Also this week at INNO Day 2022, Oppo revealed the Marisilicon Y SoC for wired-style Bluetooth streaming, and a health tablet thing that can watch you sleep. Oh, and Xiaomi finally launched the bloody 13 series phones, plus the Xiaomi S2 smartwatch.

Despite newer phones like the Oppo Find N3 Flip and the Galaxy Z Flip 5 bringing significant upgrades to the market, the Oppo Find N2 Flip still manages to hold its own. The 6.8-inch foldable inner screen has a barely visible crease, making it ideal for content consumption and a unique hinge that can fold completely flat. Furthermore, the cover screen is tall enough to be used single-handedly and is useful in most scenarios, although Oppo should have added support for more apps. The MediaTek Dimensity 9300 Plus can handle most tasks and even demanding games easily. Oppo has also delivered the Android 14 update on time and promises four years of OS updates, which is surprisingly good for a folding phone. Moreover, it is currently one of the few foldable in the market with a large 4,300mAh battery that can easily last a day. It can also be fully charged within an hour, making it great for most users. But the lack of wireless charging and IP Rating sticks out as a sore point, especially given the price of this phone.

The phone usually goes for $1249 brand-new for US buyers, although you can probably get it at a slightly lower price with trade-ins or deals, depending on where you’re buying it from. This is of course another consideration to take into account, as it is a bit higher than the Galaxy Z Flip 4 which starts below one thousand dollars. With that being said, it’s clear that Samsung isn’t the only company that’s pushing for supremacy in the foldable handset market, and the Oppo Find N2 Flip is evidence of that. Oppo has provided consumers with a competing flagship foldable, and while there are certain hardware nuances, the N2 Flip still shines thanks to premium build quality and design, a good-looking display, and a capable chipset. Given Samsung — let’s be honest, OPPO has targeted the Z Flip — is on the 4th generation of the flip, I’m astounded that I’m saying this. Do note, however, I’ve said users who have the budget because when you can get a great phone like the Pixel 7 Pro for AU$1.299.00, or the Pixel 7 for AU$999.00 there’s a premium you’re paying for the folding technology. If you decide to drop the cash on a Find N2 Flip, you’re getting a great phone though with a couple of clear advantages over flip-style competitors. The cover screen is much easier to use and highly functional, the main screen folds flat with minimal crease which results in less ingress of pocket junk; reducing risk of screen damage in your pocket. If OPPO decides to run a special on this for the end of the financial year, knocking $200 to $300 off; grab one. Yes, it’s a first-generation device from OPPO, but they’ve clearly learned a lot from the competition and delivered something pretty impressive and a competitive price.

When it comes to clamshell foldables, the OPPO Find N2 Flip excels in many areas. The design is noticeably more robust than other options, along with sporting a cover screen that dwarfs that of competitors. Added to this is a solid all-around camera matched by in-hand performance and a 4 300mAh battery that sips on power by foldable standards. The aspect that counts against it, however, is price. At R28 999 (RRP) the OPPO Find N2 Flip 5G is as expensive as the Huawei P50 Pocket at launch, but has the advantage of 5G. The Galaxy Z Flip4 has both beat on price though, retailing for R20 999 when it debuted. While the Find N2 Flip is one of the better foldables we have encountered to date, it is also one of the most expensive.

What exactly do we buy foldable phones for? When you really distil your needs, this Find N2 Flip review may seem harsh, or overwhelmingly glowing. Camera prowess may be the single most important thing to many phone buyers these days. The Find N2 Flip is not actually as bad as we’ve made it out to be, simply because the Galaxy Z Flip4 isn’t exactly better in the camera department, what with its 12MP cameras and OIS still only on the main shooter. No, if you want something you can slay with on Instagram, you need a “normie” phone, and you probably know that already. As we mentioned at the start of this article, the Find N2 Flip delivers where you’d expect: a statement-making device that does everything else well enough. Set it down on a table and its large portrait outer display can be a conversation starter. Unfold it, and some might be asking to take a look.

The Oppo Find N2 Flip is the best foldable flip smartphone in 2023... for now. It performed almost better in every way than its main competitor, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4. Its battery life was a real, pleasant surprise. The external screen is also the biggest in the market right now, which makes it much more functional than other models in this still emergent category. However, there is still something missing making this product fully relevant in our everyday life. I would like to have a real user interface for the external screen and not just shortcuts and widgets. That's still too limited daily. Anyway, foldable clamshell smartphones are usually the "poor man's" foldable smartphones. The specifications are a bit more limited and they are slightly cheaper than the classic foldable form factor. With that large screen justifying having a clamshell design, the Oppo Find N2 Flip seems more functional without having to sacrifice its compact form factor.

Those with previous-gen foldables might even envy your screen's near-creaseless look. If you can live without water resistance, or if the ultrawide camera isn’t a huge priority, consider that the Find N2 Flip still delivers a flagship-grade processor and a battery that can keep up even with devices with larger capacities. Taken solely on its merits as a phone, you’re getting a device that, at a recommended retail price of $1,299, not only undercuts its main rival (which is $1,411 directly from Samsung Singapore as of the time of writing) but, for that matter, numerous other non-foldable flagship devices.

Okay, so with this, I have come to the end of the video and as I said in the beginning, I am really impressed with what OPPO has been able to achieve with their first-ever flip phone. It addresses a lot of issues that even Samsung, despite their head start in Foldables, has not been able to crack. So, I genuinely think that OPPO is in the right direction. With a little more fine-tuning in the design, cameras, and software side of things, OPPO does seem to have a good future in the foldable space.

The Oppo Find N2 Flip performed well in our battery protocol tests. It ranked just below the average of our whole database, edging out the Samsung Galaxy Flip4 for the best score among the flip devices we’ve tested so far. The Oppo Find N2 Flip autonomy performances were decent. The 4300mAh battery lasted slightly more than 2 days, which was much better than other flip devices. The autonomy when gaming was quite impressive. However, the autonomy that was measured when calling or on the go was poor. The charging experience was slightly below average, and the recovered autonomy from a quick 5-minute charge was low. The 44W charger took 1 hour and 27 minutes to fully charge the battery, while a quick 5-minute charge provided only 3 hours and 23 minutes of autonomy on average. Moreover, the residual consumption of the charger was high when the device was fully charged and still plugged in. The charge efficiency results showed that the device was well-optimized, considering that discharge currents for streaming videos and gaming during our typical usage scenario were quite low. In fact, the discharge current for gaming was the best we had measured so far. When compared to other phones in the Ultra-Premium segment ($800+), the Oppo Find N2 Flip’s performance was in the top half of the database. Its autonomy was decent, and even slightly above average. The charging experience was below average, but its efficiency was excellent.

Overall, the Oppo Find N2 Flip is a fantastic phone with some really unique features that make it stand out among the flip phones on the market (virtual pets being one of them). The size and camera are definitely highlights, but the flip design and fast charging make it a great choice for anyone who wants a phone that can keep up with your content creation journey too.

Oppo has added a flip phone to its line-up with the Find N2 Flip, which given its novel format and price, finds itself among the Ultra-Premium smartphones in the DXOMARK database. With an overall camera score that was a few points higher than the slightly older Samsung Galaxy Flip4, the Find N2 Flip’s primary camera delivered good image quality in both photo and video mode, particularly with a good texture/noise tradeoff. Still images featured good exposure and a wide dynamic range, especially when shooting landscape scenes. What held the N2 Flip back from a higher ranking were the instabilities in exposure, white balance and autofocus, as well as poor video stabilization, especially when capturing scenes with motion. Zoom performance was limited, which could be partially attributed to the physical design of the phone. Captured detail was low at all tele settings, mainly because the device lacked a dedicated tele camera, something most Ultra-Premium phones usually have. However, the device’s flip design leaves little room for an additional lens. The Oppo also does not have a macro mode. Portrait results in bokeh mode were nice, but overall, the Find N2 Flip camera struggled to keep up with the best in class in the Ultra-Premium segment.

The time of foldable phones hasn’t really come but looking at how almost everyone has thrown their hat in the foldable ring, brands are clearly wondering “apna time aayega”. At least Oppo certainly thinks that and has made a really good flip phone in its first attempt. The secondary display is far better than what we have come across. The real competition for Oppo right now is the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 and it is safe to say on that front, Oppo has a winner on its hands. Truth be told, some folks in South Korea should unquestionably be worried and look over their shoulders as Oppo has given the Galaxy Flip not just a run for its money but outshines in many aspects. Having said that, it’s not the perfect foldable phone. The camera setup isn’t a flagship one and when someone is out there to spend Rs 90,000 perhaps won’t like to make any sort of compromise. The Oppo Find N2 Flip is priced at Rs 89,999 for the lone 8GB RAM + 256GB storage variant. At the end of the day, this is a foldable form factor, which isn’t really everyone’s cup of tea right now. Those who really want a flip phone would perhaps be fine to overlook a few misses in the Oppo Find N2 Flip. Oppo has done an extremely fine job with its first flip phone and could very well become the first choice for those who want this kind of phone. Oppo hasn’t completely knocked it out of the park but has cleared the ropes handsomely.

The Oppo Find N2 Flip display offered a satisfactory experience, with a strong showing in color rendering in all lighting conditions. When checking static content or viewing images, the Oppo Find N2 Flip proved to be particularly good in indoor conditions, with colors and brightness particularly well adjusted, making the screen very readable. When using the device to watch HDR10 videos, our testers observed that the brightness was much too low to ensure comfortable viewing, and that the user might have to manually adjust the brightness adaptation. But the testers did not observe any HDR boost to improve the viewing of contents. The display appeared to sharpen details, but sometimes that would result in texture artifacts. During our outdoor tests in direct sunlight, our experts observed that the screen did not reach the 1600 nits of maximum brightness advertised in the specifications, and that the High Brightness Mode did not activate soon enough, which would impact readability outdoors. Still, the device reached 1350 nits in an extremely bright environment (>100K lux), even though this kind of lighting condition is rarely experienced, and High Brightness Mode can be improved with some tuning. This smartphone features an anti-reflection film, which not only reduced the visibility of the crease in all conditions but significantly improved readability outdoors.

Do you wish the good times would come back again? That's a broad, yet oddly specific statement to these times, and one that Chinese phone makers would likely have plenty to say about. Since the U.S. sanctions kicked in in 2019, Chinese smartphone companies appear to be very cautious with the premium or flagship phones launched outside of their home market. What were once things like periscope zoom cameras, high-megapixel ultra-wides, and homegrown components for dedicated computing tasks have been conspicuously missing from all but the very highest-end Chinese handsets. It’s almost as if they’re wary of treading on tails by having a piece of tech inside that might be taken the wrong way... But this review isn't about what's right or wrong. This review is about Oppo and the company doing everything they can to make a foldable smartphone good enough to take on the growing number of foldable phone users worldwide. Like its main rivals, the Oppo N2 Flip shares many commonalities with other clamshell-type foldables, so if you want the hard details on what Oppo offers, you can check out our initial launch coverage here, or the table below.

With a DXOMARK Audio score of 131, the Oppo Find N2 Flip delivered a pretty good performance in our tests. As a playback device, it was was not quite as good as the foldable N2 with its large dimensions in its unfolded state, but it had the edge in recording, delivering surprisingly good results. The playback experience with the built-in speakers was pretty much free of artifacts and offered good localizability on individual sound sources. The sound signature was a touch dark, though. Overall, the Oppo did best when watching movies and gaming, scoring slightly lower in the music use case. As a recording device, it did equally well across all use cases, delivering a pleasant sound signature, even at high sound pressure levels, for example at concerts and shows. Stereo recordings were very immersive as well.

The Oppo Find N2 Flip is a pretty strong first attempt at a vertically folding phone, and in many ways offers stiff competition to Samsung. The more practical outer display, faster charging, and higher resolution primary camera are some of the main reasons to consider it over the Galaxy Z Flip 4. You also get more storage, as the 256GB variant of Samsung's Flip is priced higher. However, I can't ignore two big features that are missing from Oppo's offering: an official IP rating and wireless charging. The ultra-wide camera is also a bit underwhelming, and I don't think the outer display is being utilised to its full potential yet. Still, the launch of the Oppo Find N2 Flip in India means that buyers finally have a choice, and that's always a good thing.

This is Oppo’s most expensive phone in India in recent times. Yes, it takes on squarely the Z Flip4 in many ways. It definitely has an edge in some areas. The outer screen, the bigger battery, and faster charging are all plus points. The software features work well, though bloatware remains an issue. The foldable form factor also makes this an attractive product to consider. But the problem is brand perception, which is admittedly not easy to fight. Not to forget that Samsung regularly offers discounts on its foldable phones. At Rs 89,999, this is a pricey buy, for the form factor alone. Of course, with bank offers, Oppo’s price goes down to Rs 79,999 – though only if you are exchanging another Oppo device for this one. But then Samsung is offering its Z Flip4 latest at Rs 80,999 if one includes the bank offer, and the price will fall further as we have seen in the past. I’d say this is for those who don’t mind experimenting, are open to trying a foldable and don’t want a Samsung.

If recent announcements are any indication, the foldable smartphone segment will see a lot of action this year, with the likes of Tecno, OnePlus and Realme planning to launch their own offerings. A Pixel foldable can probably be expected too. Now that’s great, but for the here and now, I think OPPO has been able to come up with a capable clamshell flip foldable in the form of the Find N2 Flip. The phone, priced at Rs 89,999, misses out on a couple of features one would expect from a phone of its class, like IP rating and wireless charging. However, it scores where it really matters, ticks all the essential boxes in terms of aspects like performance and camera, and adds niceties with its barely-there crease and the large cover screen that enables new and interesting use cases. A fine foldable this.

At a price tag of Rs. 89999, Oppo has created a great package of intuitive displays, great processing power and supreme battery life. The massive outer cover display is great and opens up opportunities for integration for various widgets. The clamshell design with Oppo's Flexion Hinge ensures there is no gap either. The 6.8-inch LTPO AMOLED display is gorgeous and has an adaptive 120Hz refresh rate. The Oppo Find N2 Flip can hold its own in performance too, powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9000+ chipset. You get great cameras which are enhanced by the Marisilicon X NPU and Hasselblad collaboration. The Oppo Find N2 Flip can last you more than a day with its 4300mAh battery and goes from 0-100% in under an hour. Absolutely, especially if you are in the market specifically for a flip phone, then this one is worth giving a try. I have also done a side-by-side comparison with the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 which you can read on India Today Tech or watch on FIIBER's YouTube channel but the Oppo phone definitely comes with less compromises. It has a pretty functional design, a decent camera performance, good software promises and, most importantly - good battery backup and fast charging support. In exchange, you will have to give up on the IP rating and wireless charging support, which I happily would as long as Oppo delivers on the 400,000 folds without any damage.

The answer is a simple Yes. The Oppo Find N2 Flip is a powerful and a well thought out foldable phone. It intelligently uses the space available to it and provides all the features and some more that are available in clam-shell style foldables. With a powerful camera setup, bigger displays, softer opening mechanism, a non-existent crease and a longer battery life, Find N2 Flip not only competes with the Galaxy Flip 4 but also supersedes it in some cases. All in all, it’s a winner.

The Find N2 Flip outmatches the Galaxy Z Flip 4 in a lot of ways: it has a larger outer screen, bigger battery, faster charging, and the 50MP camera at the back takes better photos. The hinge is lighter and feels easier to use, and the crease is nearly invisible — you don't notice it at all in daily use. Yes, there are annoyances — there's no 4K at 60fps, and you miss out on wireless charging — but on the whole, the Find N2 Flip manages to deliver the features you actually need in a foldable, and it does so better than the Galaxy Z Flip 4.

The benefit of being the cheapest folding handset might instantly place the Find N2 Flip in a strong position but it’s welcome to see that it’s also a strong performer in key areas. Design-wise, it’s the loveliest clamshell foldable I’ve used, with all sorts of consumer-friendly touches sprinkled throughout. That portrait cover display, in particular, is a real highlight. There are some aspects in need of improvement, however. Performance is disappointing for a phone at this level, and battery life isn’t great, either. And a flagship phone shouldn’t be launching with this much bloatware, either. Still, with a folding phone as well-priced as the Find N2 Flip, these issues can be excused to some degree. If you were thinking about signing up to the folding flip phone revolution, the Oppo Find N2 Flip is where you might want to start.

There's a lot to like about Oppo's approach to the flip phone. The vertical cover display is the big talking point, we think, offering a much more useful exterior screen than what we've seen from the likes of Samsung or Motorola, even if it does look a little odd. We still think the software could be optimised further to make better use of it, but it's a handy tool to have for quickly getting information and notifications up. The almost crease-less display is great, it's rich and vibrant and the gap-less design when closed makes it seem really neat. We'd love to see a hinge that holds better at different angles, and more features added to make use of the flexible display. A better ultrawide camera would be wonderful too, but on the whole the Find N2 Flip is a strong first album from Oppo. It's compact, attractive, fast, quick to refill and looks flippin' cool. Yes, that pun was intended. It also doesn't cost a hideous amount.

With OPPO’s latest, Samsung has finally found its match after enjoying its reign as the king of foldables. The Find N2 Flip isn’t the most polished of its kind, nor is its execution perfect, but its performance sets a high enough precedent for other foldables to come, including the Z Flip 5. Give the company a little more time, and a turnabout may just be in the cards. An impressive global debut, the OPPO Find N2 Flip is a promising glimpse into the future of foldables, showing that there’s still a lot of potential to be explored and unleashed.

Oppo's modern clamshell phone line cameo breaks several category records - for the largest screens, battery, or the most ergonomic design - and we are glad to report that these achievements don't just sound great on paper. We appreciated the huge, bright displays that Oppo managed to fit in a footprint no larger than the direct competitors while beating them in the closed and compact game. To wit, the Find N2 Flip is being launched globally at a very aggressive price tag, even though it delivers better photos than the Z Flip 4, has faster charging, way bigger main display with ironed-out crease, and a cover screen fit for a cover girl.

The Oppo Find N2 Flip is a pretty astonishing phone – and I say that as a dyed-in-the-wool Z Flip fanboy. I still think Samsung’s phone looks slicker, and the combo of smoother software, waterproofing, and wireless charging means that at the same price I’d give the Z Flip 4 the edge. But, in the UK at least, they’re not the same price – and when you can save £100-200 on the Oppo option, it’s hard to beat. Those minor gripes are easy to live with, and the improved camera, faster charging, and gapless hinge give this a few advantages that could well win you over outright. Right now, this is an excellent flip phone, and the best value one around. If Oppo can match Samsung’s polish, then next time it around it might just be the best – full stop.

So, should you buy the OPPO Find N2 Flip? Well, it all depends on what you’re looking for in a smartphone. If you’re even considering this phone, you’re probably interested in clamshell foldable phones. There are not many such phones available out there, and this is one of the best ones. If you’re not a fan of the Galaxy Z Flip 4, this could be an ideal alternative for you. Not only does it fold flat, without gaps, but it also has a much less noticeable crease on the display. It also has a much larger cover display, which is vertical, and faster charging too. The OPPO Find N2 Flip does feel like a really premium product, and one you should consider if you’re in the market for a clamshell foldable.

With a great spec and savvy price, the Oppo Find N2 Flip is an attractive flip phone option. Its software isn't quite up to scratch, though, while that XL cover display isn't always as practical with notifications as I'd like, and the experience of a foldable doesn't come entirely without compromise compared to a typical phone. But as a clamshell option to take the fight to Samsung and Motorola, Oppo has some key strengths that are hard to ignore.

Oppo Find N2 Flip Review: Has Oppo “Found” Its Place In Foldables? You’ve got a lot of options if you’re in the market for a book-style foldable, with seven manufacturers offering phones that turn into tablets. But that rich tapestry diversity hasn’t trickled down to flip-type foldables. With only minor competition from the likes of the Motorola RAZR and Huawei P50 Pocket, Samsung’s Galaxy Z Flip family has come to dominate the clamshell flip phone category. So when Oppo invited media to London to witness the launch of a product that stands a good chance of changing all that, well … I was on a plane faster than you can say “flip the script.” I’m Michael Fisher and I’ve spent a week with the Oppo Find N2 Flip: a vertical-folding clamshell with a nearly-invisible crease on the inside; a very visible screen on the outside … and some confusing software choices that make you wonder if its competitive price is indeed competitive enough.

The Oppo Find N2 Flip isn’t perfect, but it is a genuine alternative to the Galaxy Z Flip 4, and that makes it a very welcome, and very important device. Samsung needs competition, and we need these devices to be worthy, as it encourages development and helps drive prices down. The Find N2 Flip has everything in place to do that. Compact folding phones are mostly about convenience, so their small dimensions, low weight, and large cover screen work really well. The camera is good, provided you don’t expect Galaxy S23 Ultra levels of ability, and the performance is great for everyday use. This isn’t a powerhouse, but anyone who wants that kind of phone should look at the Galaxy Z Fold 4 instead. I’d have liked the cover screen to be truly useful, but I understand it’s not what this kind of folding smartphone is all about. If you can buy the Oppo Find N2 Flip, then it’s a steal at the price, and absolutely worth taking a good look at it alongside the Galaxy Z Flip 4.

The Oppo Find N2 Flip isn’t perfect, but it is a genuine alternative to the Galaxy Z Flip 4, and that makes it a very welcome, and very important device. The target audience for the Flip/Razr phone form factor (if we can call it that) includes people who probably are not heavy users. They are not so much in it for the specs but for the novel form factor as long as there are no glaring shortcomings. And the Galaxy Flip4 is already good enough to meet those baseline expectations. That makes it the more reasonable purchase at the moment. The Oppo's price markup at launch makes it hard to recommend it outright over the Galaxy Z Flip 4. But if you can find the two equally priced in your market, well, that would be a tough dilemma, which only you can solve.

As 24-hour periods go, we've found a lot we like about Oppo's approach to the flip phone. The almost crease-less display is great, it appears rich and vibrant on first impressions and the gap-less design when closed makes it seem really neat. We need more time with it - of course - to see how well the software is optimised for the folding display, and to see if the secondary camera is noticeably poorer than the primary camera, but the Find N2 Flip is shaping up to be a very promising competitor to Samsung's fashionable flip phone.

Oppo's first clamshell foldable is the Galaxy Z Flip rival we've been hoping for. With a larger outer display, faster charging and a bigger battery, it seems to address the form factor's biggest problems with style and finesse.

Oppo’s Find N2 Flip manages to beat the popular Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 in most areas including design, display, camera and battery life while costing less than Samsung’s option. This could be the clamshell foldable phone to buy in 2023.

In almost every respect, the Find N2 Flip is one of the nicest flip-style foldables doing the rounds right now. It looks gorgeous, takes a decent photo, and has a very long-lasting battery for the class. The sizeable outer screen is a real boon, and the lack of visible crease makes the inner one quite the peach too. Does it do enough to topple the Galaxy Z Flip 4? It’s a very close-run thing. At £850, the Oppo is a healthy amount cheaper than the Samsung – but that phone packs in wireless charging, a mature software suite and a more balanced pair of cameras. If you’ve got a bunch of other Samsung gear, the Z Flip 4 might get the nod, but in many other respects, we prefer the Find N2 Flip. A wonderfully slick flip phone that delivers on design, packs a sizeable outer screen and has a long-lasting battery. The keen pricing only makes it more desirable.

Competition is good for many reasons, but looking at the Oppo Find N2 Flip, there are two things in particular that stand out. The first is price. At £849 (around $1,025), Oppo’s foldable flip phone is £150 more affordable than Samsung’s comparable Galaxy Z Flip 4 was at launch in the UK, and that’s currently Oppo’s most serious competitor outside of China. (Although the Find N2 is releasing “globally,” Oppo’s definition doesn’t extend to North America.) Undercutting it on price like this is important, especially if Oppo can pressure Samsung to cut prices to stay competitive. Second is variety. Although Oppo’s foldable has the same overall form factor as Samsung’s Z Flip devices, which fold from a regular size smartphone down into a compact square to make them more pocketable, it has a much larger cover display for viewing notifications and controlling features. It means there’s a lot of potential here to do more with Oppo’s foldable without having to flip it open first. Yes, at the end of the day, you’re still going to be flipping open the phone for most tasks. But considering it undercuts Samsung on price with a very comparable set of features, the Find N2 Flip ends up being a surprisingly competitive alternative to the Z Flip 4 — so long as you trust Oppo’s durability claims.

Oppo's Find N2 Flip has launched "internationally" (meaning outside China). In the UK where it will first on sale, the phone can be had for £849, which is a bit over US$1,000. This price is competitive with what the Galaxy Z Flip 4 costs. And Oppo's clamshell foldable does a few things better (but a few things worse, too).

Unboxing the Oppo Find N2 Flip foldable phone (global edition), with a review of the camera tech, gaming on Genshin Impact, battery life and more. The Oppo Find N2 Flip is one of the best bendy smartphones of 2023, a step up vs Samsung's Galaxy Z Flip 4 in a few ways. In the UK it will release on March 2 with a price from £849. Although it's a similar size to the Samsung Z Flip 4, the Oppo Find N2 Flip boasts an improved design with a more subtle crease and less of a gap. Battery life is a serious upgrade, offering a full day of play even with six plus hours of screen on time including LOTS of camera use. ColorOS 13 is as feature-packed as ever, including a gaming mode for Genshin fans. Speaking of which, the Oppo Find N2 Flip can run the latest Android titles no worries, although the Galaxy Z Flip does offer slightly stronger performance. My only wish is for Oppo to improve the functionality of that massive cover screen. It's ideal for quickly interacting with apps like Deezer and WhatsApp and yet right now you only have basic media controls and reply options.

The Oppo Find N2 Flip foldable smartphone is a full-size phone when you unfold the screen side by side it is a mini pocket phone when folded. Not to forget, you are getting decent performance, reasonably good camera results, a decent screen, and a few more things. But at the same time, the battery life is average, and no wireless charging support is available. It’s not easy when you are choosing a foldable phone and not all phones are capable of providing the best features at an expensive cost. However, the Oppo Find N2 Flip is a good choice if you are a foldable phone fan. But still, there are tons of alternative options offered by Samsung, Xiaomi, and other brands, so do check them before purchasing this device. If you are looking for an alternative option, definitely check out the Galaxy Z flip 4 smartphone that comes at the same price with more features and advantages.

Oppo quiere un trozo del pastel de los plegables. Oppo Find N3 Flip brings several upgrades over its predecessor, such as better durability, a telephoto lens, performance and an alert slider. While most of these might sound like an incremental upgrade, features like a telephoto lens and barely visible crease are something you won’t get on other phones. But the presence of bloatware, the IPX4 rating instead of a full-fledged IP rating, and the lack of wireless charging can be a few things that might disappoint you. Despite these shortcomings, the Oppo Find N3 Flip remains an all-rounder flip phone that delivers on all fronts. Other alternatives include the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 and the Motorola Razr 40 Ultra, which offer large cover screens, wireless charging, and better IP ratings. However, they lack the alert slider, telephoto lens, and faster charging speed with the larger battery found on the Oppo Find N3 Flip, making it an underrated smartphone.

It's quite obvious with the two foldable releases from team Oppo and OnePlus (BBK Electronics) that the two brands have put up enough of a challenge, raising the bar for Samsung's upcoming foldables, which are expected to be called the Galaxy Z Flip 6 and the Galaxy Z Fold 6. I have no doubt that the OnePlus Open is a clear winner compared to what Samsung currently offers in 2023. But I have mixed feelings about the Oppo Find N3 Flip. I'm also not a big fan of its vertical cover display layout and am quite confused about whether Oppo will get rid of this layout for something better with the next model. While the Find N3 Flip's raw performance (including gaming), overall camera quality and battery life (including charging) are quite impressive for a clamshell foldable, it's all stuck behind an oddly laid out cover display experience, one that will vary depending on the apps that you use on a daily basis. Pick this one if you don't use the cover display often on your current foldable or don't intend to on your first one.

For either company to have a definitive “better” clamshell phone fall onto their next generation of flippies to triumph over the other, but that’s a problem for tomorrow’s phones to worry about. Today, the Find N3 Flip feels on equal footing with Samsung’s Galaxy Z Flip5; either option is great, but only you will know which is the better clamshell for you. If we expressed our preferences, then it would go to the Oppo Find N3 Flip since we are partial towards better cameras, better Cover Screen utility, and the lack of a visible crease. For these reasons, we have bestowed Editors' Choice onto Oppo's flip phone.

Nevertheless, in our opinion, OPPO Find N3 Flip is a worthy upgrade to Find N2 Flip and a worthy addition to the line of foldable smartphones on the market. It’s easy to use, has good cameras, fast charging, and a fairly large and high-quality external screen. As for its predecessor, the OPPO Find N2 Flip, it’s available in Ukraine for about $1200 and doesn’t differ that much from the N3, so we recommend considering it if you’re interested in a modern flip format. Oppo has done it again, showing Samsung and Motorola how a flip phone can be done rightly. Not only does it have all the elements that made it a winner the first time, but it also improves upon the things it missed out on the first time -- having the camera setup that would give more than food for thought to the likes of Samsung and Moto to shame and a cover display, which is helpful for real. For Rs 94,999, the Find N3 Flip faces is an exorbitant purchase, but if you are someone who is bored of the iPhones and Galaxies, then you can try this one out. The phone has a versatile camera setup and an all-day-long battery life, and the display does not feel weird on this one. While Oppo has a winner on its hands, what might push it back is Oppo’s lack of presence in the premium price segment and a bloat-ridden experience.

The Find N3 Flip focuses on refining essential aspects of foldable smartphones. It addresses more limitations associated with this form factor than the first-generation model. With its elegant design, foldable display with a less prominent crease, vertical cover display with more optimised apps, a capable imaging system, responsive performance, and a decent battery life, the Find N3 Flip offers an improved experience. At a price of Rs 94,999, it is slightly more expensive than the Find N2 Flip but delivers significant core upgrades.

But even with these issues, the Oppo Find N3 Flip is still one of the best Flip foldables right now. It has some niceties that no competitor has - such as the speedy charging and the 2x zoom camera, while the IPX4 splash-proofing and new glass panels are welcome build quality improvements. Overall, we liked the Oppo Find N3 Flip a lot as it managed to surprise us more than once. It's a solid smartphone with the most feature-rich Flip specs sheet, and even better - it delivers on the official promises. There is only one thing that stands in the way of the Find N3 Flip - its limited availability and sale bans in some countries. It is not that cheap, either. But, if you want one of the best Flip foldables out there and you are set on getting the most out of this form factor and your money, the Find N3 Flip will deliver.

The answer to this question is a simple yes. When we reviewed the Find N2 Flip earlier this year, we wrote – “The Oppo Find N2 Flip is a powerful and a well thought out foldable phone. It intelligently uses the space available to it and provides all the features and some more that are available in clam-shell style foldables.” The Find N3 Flip takes this a notch up by making the cover display a lot more useful and cameras a whole lot better – additions that help you make the most of a foldable phone. So, if you are planning to buy a premium phone or give foldables a shot, the Oppo Find N3 Flip would be a good place to start.

All things considered, the OPPO Find N3 Flip is a great well-rounded flip phone. OPPO has latched on to its strength in this category – nice design, big battery, good performance and a great user experience. Where it mainly focuses on this time around is the camera. With the Hasselblad partnership and OPPO’s engineering experience, it managed to make a camera system worthy of a flagship phone despite the obstacles and challenges presented by a foldable device. The Find N3 Flip is a testament to that. It’s not a perfect one, noting the lack of a proper IPX rating but a great flip phone, nonetheless. With a suggested retail price of Php64,999, that is a 30% jump in price tag compared to its predecessor (the Find N2 Flip had an SRP of only Php49,999 when it came out). OPPO is kind of overreaching here and this price difference is inexplicably beyond us. Well, except for one possible reason — OPPO wants to go head-to-head with Samsung’s Galaxy Z Flip5 and see if can match the brand’s equity with their own engineering feats.

Limited thermal headroom also has knock-on effects for OPPO’s SuperVOOC fast charging. Despite boasting 44W peak power, which is sustained for mere seconds, the phone spends most of its time charging just below 20W. As such, the Find N3 Flip takes 52 minutes to fill and 23 minutes to hit 50%. That’s faster than last year but not exactly super fast for a 4,300mAh battery. While we’re being picky, 15W from non-SuperVOOC chargers isn’t great and means the phone will charge much slower with third-party plugs and power banks.

Overall, the OPPO Find N3 Flip has an elegant sleek design and robust performance. The cameras are among the best parts of the phone and could be a primary reason to pick it up, especially if that's part of your checklist. If we have to nitpick something, it would be the cover screen, which could use more improvements. Also, you may want to stick to pro mode to get better night mode photos. There aren't a lot of foldable flip phones available in Malaysia. But there's the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip5 at RM4499, just slightly higher than the Find N3 Flip. Both phones are similar, but you could get the Samsung phone if you're a fan of the Galaxy ecosystem. If you're on a budget, check out the Tecno Phantom V Flip 5G for RM2999 instead. The choice is yours.

Priced at Rs 94,999, the OPPO Find N3 Flip can’t be called affordable, but it’s a premium flagship after all, and a foldable one at that… so the pricing isn’t much of a surprise. The closest competition is of course, the Samsung Galaxy Flip5, which is a very strong contender with good cameras and a comprehensive software ecosystem. It does score in software, and even offers an IP68 rating and wireless charging. However, it’s not so strong in other aspects like charging speeds, and cover screen usability. The fact that the Find N3 Flip is an evolutionary upgrade over its predecessor isn’t unexpected, but the good thing is that it does come with some handy additions that sweeten the deal.. the telephoto camera and the alert slider for instance. The software could do with a bit of a cleanup, and the lack of wireless charging is noticeable, especially at this price point. However, the handset scores in crucial aspects like cover screen usability, performance and cameras, with its build quality and hinge durability adding to its appeal.

Okay, so in the end, should you buy the OPPO Find N3 Flip? Well, it ultimately depends on what you want. I think between this and the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip5, I consider them to be on par with each other. Cameras on the Find N3 Flip is obviously much better, and having an alert slider is just a big quality of life improvement. However, the Z Flip5’s larger cover display is more functional yet just looks better than the Find N3 Flip’s empty patch of space. Both phones’ hinge are similar as they close with virtually no gap, but the Find N3 Flip has a weird snapback yet has a much shallower crease. As for the price – it’s RM4,399. Slightly lower than its competitor, but like what we said earlier – there are definitely pros and cons between these two phones. So, which one will you pick? The Find N3 Flip or the Galaxy Z Flip5? Personally, I’m not a Flip guy. I’m more interested in the OPPO Find N3 Fold. Hopefully, I can get my hands on it soon.

I found the Oppo Find N3 Flip to be quite appealing as a foldable phone. It has a sleek design, reliable performance, and some handy camera features for daytime photography. The improved foldable hinge adds to its durability, and the dual displays make multitasking easier. However, I must say that the phone could use a cleaner interface, with fewer pre-installed apps. In low-light situations, the camera performance didn't quite meet my expectations. If you're into nighttime photography, you might want to explore other options. In the end, whether you should buy the Oppo Find N3 Flip or not depends on your personal preferences. If you're interested in innovative design, solid daytime camera performance, and the experience of using a foldable phone, it's definitely worth considering.

The OPPO Find N3 Flip is an iterative upgrade over its predecessor, but then again, the Find N2 got a lot of things right. This time, OPPO is outfitting the phone with a telephoto lens, giving it much more versatility than the competition. But aside from the great camera output, the Find N3 Flip provides impressive battery life and a rather unique take on the cover screen. The vertical orientation isn't for everyone, and it's a fairly limited experience, the complete opposite of OPPO's overwhelming ColorOS software.

So, is the OPPO Find N3 Flip the best flip smartphone on the market? The answer, unfortunately, cannot be summed down to one word. The OPPO Find N3 Flip blows the competition out of the water in multiple key areas including camera versatility, battery life, and fast charging. It is undoubtedly better than the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip5 and the Moto Razr 40 Ultra here. Then, there are some areas where it sits in the middle of the pack such as foldable UI, software updates, and display quality. Finally, there is one important area where the OPPO Find N3 Flip lags behind considerably – performance. The MediaTek Dimensity 9200 SoC inside the phone is being held back from reaching its full potential, allowing competitors to smoke it in terms of raw performance.

The outer screen is pretty much identical to the one on the N2 Flip. Oppo seems to be committed to this aspect ratio — and for good reason — the N3 Flip now lets you use full-sized apps on the outer display, in addition to the preinstalled widgets for weather and camera. Oppo claims that more than 40 apps have been optimised and more will be added. With the firmware that I had, most of the popular Google apps were there, along with support for others like WhatsApp, Telegram, Outlook, etc. You can even reply to messages with either voice or the keyboard right from the outer screen. The Find N3 Flip runs Android 13, but Oppo says it will deliver four three years of Android updates and five four years of security updates for it. The Oppo Find N3 Flip is a pretty big update when you think about it and it's surprising considering the Find N2 Flip launched in India only earlier this year. It certainly gives Samsung and Motorola stiff competition, which is something we'll dive into in more detail in the full review, so stay tuned.

The Find N3 Flip is a solid flip phone -- you can't really go wrong with its three dependable cameras, fast charging, solid performance and that unique cover screen, which is increasingly becoming more usable. Perhaps, if you absolutely craved the only flip phone with a vertical cover screen I could recommend buying this phone, as it stands out through its unique design. But since the phone doesn't have a price just yet, it's hard to say whether it's a good buy in terms of value. Oppo also currently has no plans to sell this phone in the US, though a wide international release is expected in Asia and Europe, among other continents. The Find N3 Flip has formidable competitors in the form of the Galaxy Z Flip 5 and the Motorola Razr. Both phone makers overhauled the designs for the better. Each of them have cover screens that take up nearly the entire front half of the phone's front panel, making Find N3's Flip's cover screen feel small and less practical by comparison.

Back in February, Oppo shook up the flip phone landscape with a little clamshell that packed a big standout: a cover display that, for the time, was the biggest you could find on a flip. When I factored in the better-than-average camera and the huge battery, the Find N2 Flip convinced me that Oppo had "found" its place in foldables. But that, as they say, was then. Scarcely eight months after that phone launched in Europe, the Oppo Find N3 Flip adds another camera and a new side switch to a familiar, similarly slippery chassis. But the one thing Oppo could have done – the one thing I think it had to do, to face down its 2023 competition? It hasn’t yet.

Let’s not mince words here. I really, really like the Find N3 Flip. This folding flip phone is delightful to use and ticks almost all the right boxes when it comes to design and specs. It’s a stylish handset with beautiful displays, superb audio, solid performance, and decent battery life. But what really stands out here is the impressive camera system, which delivers the same quality and flexibility as a proper flagship – a first for a folding flip phone.

The Oppo Find N3 Flip is the first clamshell flip phone with three cameras covering the ultra-wide, wide, and telephoto focal range. Its outside screen also got a major functional upgrade over the Oppo Find N2 Flip.

The Oppo Find N3 Flip is the latest foldable smartphone from Oppo that seems to provide a decent experience a user expects from a device. The smartphone has an impressive camera setup, a decent battery, and a powerful processor. In comparison to the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5, the Oppo Find N3 Flip is a bit behind in terms of display and charging support. However, it compensates for it and outperforms Galaxy Z Flip 5 in camera and storage department at a lower price. But even though Oppo Find N3 Flip wins in price, it’s not that much of a win as the price difference isn’t big enough. Not to forget, the Oppo Find N3 Flip doesn’t have any sort of wireless charging, which could be a deal breaker for some. Still, the device provides the value for money, you are going to spend on the smartphone.

The Oppo Find N3 is the best foldable phone you can get right now, especially if you’re in a market where the OnePlus Open (quite literally the same phone as the N3 but with slightly different software) isn’t available. There’s very little holding the Oppo Find N3 back. The hardware is great, the software features make great use of the hardware, and the camera performance is remarkable for a foldable phone. I’ve used the phone longer than I do with most review units, and in my six months of usage, I’ve found very little to complain about. The Oppo Find N3 is a nearly complete package, and it only misses out on a few things. Wireless charging is the biggest negative here. ColorOS also needs some work, but it’s headed in the right direction.

Is the OPPO Find N3 the right phone for you? That is, of course, a question only you can answer directly. However, if you’re into foldables, and you have been waiting for a device that will push things a step forward, the OPPO Find N3 is easily that phone. Not only does it feel robust, and yet not too large, but it feels premium too. On top of that it offers outstanding displays, great performance, good battery life with fast charging, and truly capable cameras too. It is ahead of the competition in several ways when compared directly, each of the competitor smartphones.

Honestly I am extremely impressed with the OPPO Find N3 and as a foldable I do like the bigger inside screen and the cameras and software and the overall experience in my book is just off the scale impressive. Granted there was one or two little things I would like to be changed such as the overlapping apps along with possibly redesigning the massively huge camera bump at the back but otherwise for me, the OPPO Find N3 screen premium, high end performance and luxury and it is a worth competitor and possibly the winner of best foldable so far for 2024 in my books. My only question still remains – longevity of the device and foldable screen, especially with the price but also with the majority of consumers holding onto their phones for longer periods than previous generations.

At RM7,999, the Find N3 is a big boy’s toy, a device for someone with oodles of disposable income and to that end, it’s a luxury item that, while not necessarily practical at times, individuals would buy, all for that “look at me, look at me”, while it lasts. And believe me, unfolding this device in public during the review process has actually gotten me some unexpected attention, with folks falling to the allure of that big Hasselblad module and coming up to me, asking about it. And yes, it may not be as feature-friendly as the Galaxy Z Fold5, a foldable which has basically become the benchmark that every other foldable entering the market needs to meet or beat. Did I have fun using the Find N3 as my daily driver, along with features like its Boundless View mode and the fact I can pretty much use Google Wallet with it? Absolutely. Would I recommend it wholeheartedly as a common option to the masses?

The Oppo Find N3 has an unmatched class as it brings most of the flagship features that you are looking for in a foldable phone. Whether it’s high-end performance or mesmerizing multi-tasking, the Find N3 has everything for you. Hopefully, the device will be available on the global market. Unfortunately, the storage variant is capped at 512GB, while the Chinese variant has 1TB storage. Foldable smartphones aren’t everyone’s favorite choice, though this opinion can differ from person to person. Now, because there are devices like the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 and OnePlus Open, the Oppo Find N3 does feel underwhelming. Although, there’s no denying that this phone receives ample hardware support with top-class software configuration. But still, make the final decision according to your preference.

The Find N3 is a worthy entrant into the large foldable space, together with the OnePlus Open that shares most of its DNA. It competes well with the benchmark in the class, the Galaxy Z Fold5, by delivering as good or better results in key areas, while not really falling short in any major way. For example, the Find N3's rear cameras are more versatile on both the ultrawide and telephoto end. The displays on the Oppo foldable are nicer in almost every way, and on top of what is mostly a tie battery life, the Find N3 adds quicker charging. The nice speakers help too. The Oppo also offers a compelling alternative to what's been one of Samsung's key selling points - the software bits to make the most out of the form factor. Other makers have been unable to nail those until now, but ColorOS appears to have done it just right. Where the Find N3 can't quite challenge the Galaxy is in water resistance and high refresh rate handling when it comes to gaming.

Honestly, the OPPO Find N3 is among the best foldable phones you can currently buy. It has everything, including top-notch specs like the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, a camera module with Hasselblad tech, and an elegant design. It would be better if it came with a stylus, as that would work wonders for your productivity. That means you'll spend more since you have to get one separately. We won't lie here. The OPPO Find N3 is not for everyone, as it's an expensive phone at RM7999. However, the Find N3 is suitable for those who want an elegant foldable phone to show off or as a more portable workstation when outside. But if you want a more affordable option, consider the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold5. It's cheaper with prices from RM6799 but has similar specs and is equally powerful.

So, for the price of RM7,999, is the OPPO Find N3 worth it? I’ll say yes and no. It kinda depends on what you want. I think the cameras on the OPPO Find N3 are definitely fantastic, alongside the alert slider and some of the software features. I am optimistic about this, but I am also cautious about other aspects like IP rating, the taskbar that’s oddly limiting, and the Fineasy… that needs to change. I just think that the price of RM7,999 is definitely high, and it’ll be interesting when we put things in perspective with the Galaxy Z Fold 5 which costs RM700 cheaper for the same storage configuration. Again, that comparison will come soon. So that’s all I have to share with you in this video. Is the OPPO Find N3 the perfect foldable device? Definitely not. There is no perfect foldable device, at least not right now.

Now perhaps you’re wondering how much the Oppo Find N3 costs. Well, it retails for SGD 2,399 or roughly PHP 99,240 for the 16GB+512GB variant. This makes it more or less the same price as the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5. Considering the Find N3 comes with a better camera and larger cover display, this should give it an advantage over the Z Fold 5. But unfortunately for readers in the Philippines, this won’t be available in our market. It’s disappointing to hear too since I’m very impressed with this phone. Instead, we’re getting the more popular OPPO Find N3 Flip. But what do you think of the Oppo Find N3? We certainly like it, especially given the major makeover it’s gotten. More importantly, would you pick it over other foldables on the market? Share your thoughts in the comments below.

At S$2,399, the OPPO Find N3 poses a direct threat to its Samsung foldable counterpart. Apart from offering 512GB of storage and 16GB of RAM (more than Samsung’s S$2,398 base model), it outclasses the Galaxy Z Fold 5 in most areas, from design to photography. It’s unfortunate that its predecessor couldn’t share its potential with the rest of the world, but this could very well be OPPO’s next best chance to harness its expertise, which is arguably the most refined on the market right now. A foldable powerhouse, the OPPO Find N3 never c(r)eases to impress with its repertoire of intuitive features, nearly crease-less design, and powerful camera prowess.
