Oppo ha mejorado su gama Reno con la llegada de Reno 12 Pro, sobre todo por el diseño ligero y delgado, una excelente pantalla y autonomía de la batería. El problema del Oppo Reno 12 Pro es que prácticamente no destaca en nada frente a la enorme competencia que tiene ahora mismo. La cámara, aunque buena en prácticamente todos los sentidos, no es mejor que, por ejemplo, un Vivo V40 5G y su modo retrato. Sus funciones de inteligencia artificial no aportan nada nuevo o, peor, están a medio cocer o directamente no disponibles en español. Reno 12 Pro tiene un buen precio, eso es evidente, menos de 550 euros para un buen móvil de la gama media o media-alta, pero la marca china debe ofrecer algo extra o que de verdad sea algo más que trucos de IA que puedes usar con decenas de otras aplicaciones en Play Store, si quiere destacar por encima de todos los móviles de unos 500 euros.

Es difícil que un gama media me convenza en prácticamente todos los puntos. El OPPO Reno12 Pro lo ha logrado Es prácticamente todo lo que se puede pedir a un gama media que busca dar algunos saltos adelante en calidad general. ¿El único inconveniente? El enemigo juega en casa, y alguna que otra propuesta de Realme ofrece conjuntos bastante por encima en specs y experiencia general (salvando el tema de la IA). No debiera ser un problema de peso. Si quieres apostar por un teléfono de una compañía de renombre, con funciones de IA que lo diferencian de sus rivales en su segmento, y con una cámara que no es fácil de encontrar, esta opción es más que adecuada.

The Oppo Reno 12 Pro is an interesting alternative if you want to try an AI feature-rich phone, but don't want to pay flagship money. It's basically half the cost of a Galaxy S24, but doesn't cut out any AI features — even if some of them don't work as good. But we feel like it comes short in some areas, at least for now. It's great that the AI tools are in an overlay, so you aren't tied down to using a specific browser, email, or messaging app to have access to them. It's not so great that the phone's performance stutters from time to time, making it slightly annoying to actually be multitasking on it. The camera is not bad, but certainly not as impressive as the specs suggest. It does get beat out by competitors such as the Google Pixel 8a.

Now, should you buy the Reno12 Pro? Well, we have to know the price first. Okay, the OPPO Reno12 Pro starts at RM2,599 – which is RM100 more than the Reno11 Pro. I have no idea why OPPO raised the price even though this Reno12 Pro is a clear downgrade. Do I recommend it? No, this is going to be tough to recommend. I’m really not sure what’s the rationale behind this price increment alongside the downgrades. A phone still needs to be a good phone before any of the additional features are highlighted – particularly AI features.

As we stated earlier, the Oppo Reno12 Pro is a stylish all-rounder with capable hardware for the most part. The display is good, has a dedicated zoom camera, although it can't record videos for some reason, potent main camera, excellent selfie unit, fast charging, dependable battery life, microSD card slot, IR blaster and fast enough charging. However, for roughly the same price, you can get proper flagship killers, often with better camera setups, faster chipsets and sometimes even faster charging. Speaking of, the Reno12 Pro ships without a charger in most markets, which is a big issue given the proprietary nature of the charging standard. It's not that we don't recommend the Reno12 Pro, but the handset clearly excels in some niche aspects, and the current pricing gets in the way.

In autonomy, the Oppo Reno12 Pro endured almost 71 hours of moderate usage. Tests showed that power loss was only 1% during the night while the phone was idle. In most use cases, the autonomy of the device was above average in general, except for listening to music. However, the device was just average in on-the-go testing, especially when calling. Calling autonomy tumbled to less than 22 hours in outdoor conditions from more than 35 hours in indoor tests. The Oppo Reno12 Pro is equipped with a 5000 mAh battery and comes with an 80W charger that allows the device to reach a full charge in just over an hour.

Dimensity 7300: El Dimensity 7300 es un procesador de gama media con un módem 5G integrado. La parte CPU integra cuatro núcleos ARM Cortex-A78 de hasta 2,5 GHz y cuatro núcleos de potencia Cortex-A55 de hasta 2 GHz. El SoC se fabrica utilizando el moderno proceso de 4nm.
