Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra, S25+, and S25 Hands-On: The Best Refinement I’ve Seen in Years
Origen: Xataka Android Español
Once again, the Ultra model has captured my interest the most this year: It’s the most ambitious offering. Despite this, the smaller models are just as powerful, boasting impressive AI features, software, and a refined design. 2025 isn’t a year for major changes in Samsung’s high-end lineup. Instead, it focuses on refinement. Navigating the fine line between getting stagnant and improving what already works can be tricky, but I feel confident in this approach. These will be three of the most well-rounded devices of 2025. Their photographic performance will determine whether they reign supreme as the kings of high-end Android, but the rest of the hardware leaves little room for improvement.

80% Samsung Galaxy S25+ Review: Top Performance but Disappointing Upgrades
Origen: Nextpit EN Inglés EN→ES
The Galaxy S25+ seems like a bare-bones upgrade over its predecessor. It is nice that Samsung did not split regions with different specifications, but besides the processor, there wasn’t a significant change over the preceding S24+. So, for owners of both the S24 and S23 models, it is simply not worth the investment, especially since both generations should receive most of the features launched with the S25 family. Of course, if you are about to renew a contract and the S25+ can be had for very cheap (or free), it is a nice phone with an excellent display, performance, and build quality. But the same can be said about basically every competing flagship phone launched in 2025.

Two weeks in, the Galaxy S25+ has proven itself as a powerful contender. Having used an iPhone for years, this switch has been an eye-opener, showing me what a Samsung phone is truly capable of. I’m genuinely impressed—its cameras capture stunning detail, the performance is incredibly smooth, and the AI-powered tools are both intuitive and genuinely helpful in my daily work. There’s still plenty to explore, and I’m excited to see how it continues to shape my experience.

80% Samsung Galaxy S25+ review: Plus matters
Origen: India Today Inglés EN→ES
The Samsung Galaxy S25+ offers a well-rounded experience. It offers a premium design, powerful performance, and a solid camera system. It's a great choice for those who want a larger battery and display compared to the standard S25. As one of the slimmest and lightest flagship phones available, the S25+ is perfect for those upgrading from older Samsung models. It provides everything the S25 offers but with a bigger screen and battery, plus a camera experience that’s closer to the S25 Ultra — at a more accessible price. The Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset delivers big performance improvements, while the battery easily lasts through the day, despite lacking ultra-fast charging. The added AI features and Pro Video mode make the S25+ a compelling option for both everyday users and content creators.

80% Samsung Galaxy S25+ review: Iterative excellence
Origen: Tech Advisor Inglés EN→ES
If you currently have a phone that’s at least three years old and can afford it, yes. For most people, the S25+ is the sweet spot in Samsung’s Galaxy S25 range. It offers a compelling combination of top-tier hardware and superb, AI-infused software. While you’ll have to give up the S Pen and 50Mp ultrawide from the Ultra, the money you save will be well worth it for most people. Aside from relatively slow charging and some camera inconsistencies, this is a phone with no real weaknesses. The lack of upgrades means no Galaxy S24 or S23 owners should consider it, but if you have anything older, you’ll really notice the difference. The S25+ is an impressive phone that should stand the test of time, making it easy to recommend.

80% The Galaxy S25+ Is the Samsung You Should Buy
Origen: How to Geek Inglés EN→ES
So, is the Samsung Galaxy S25+ a phone worth buying? Absolutely. Is it easy to overlook and almost forgettable? Yes. That said, as long as you don't have a Galaxy S24 series phone, it's a solid upgrade across the board. It offers excellent performance, a beautiful display, and stellar battery life—and it's not as massive as the Ultra. If you have any Galaxy S21 model, Galaxy S22+, or even the Galaxy S22 Ultra, the latest Galaxy S25+ is fantastic and way closer to the Ultra this year than the older generations. I'd argue this is the Samsung Galaxy model most people should get. If you've ever owned a Samsung Galaxy, you know what you're getting, and that's perfectly fine. Consistency doesn't have to be a bad thing. There's nothing special here that we didn't see last year. Those coming from an older phone will love it, and for everyone else with a Galaxy S24, there's always next year.

83% Samsung Galaxy S25+ Review: The ultimate AI-powered ‘Plus’ phone in town
Origen: Think Digit Inglés EN→ES
The Samsung Galaxy S25+ might not completely reinvent the wheel, but it’s a solid step forward in Samsung’s flagship lineup. It offers a gorgeous AMOLED display, the powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, smarter AI integration, and a well-rounded camera setup. However, because some elements haven’t changed, the upgrade feels more incremental than revolutionary. If you’re moving up from an S23+ or an even older model, the performance boost, refined AI features, and optimized battery life make the Samsung Galaxy S25+ a compelling choice. But if you’re already riding with the S24+, you might find the updates a bit too subtle to justify a switch.

85% Samsung Galaxy S25 & S25+ review: Samsung can make boring look good
Origen: Hardware Zone Inglés EN→ES
Very little has changed from the Galaxy S24 series of 2024, and while that has made it easy to write this review, it also means the Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S25+ are rather dull devices. But the truth is, people don't care if it's boring. They want something good. If you ask us, matching the Ultra variant with the same polish, processor, and software but costing S$400 to S$600 less is no bad thing. The switch back to Qualcomm’s Snapdragon processor is a wise move by Samsung, and the phone runs brilliantly in terms of performance and battery life. The AI features are more evolved now, and Gemini integration means there’s no need to take extra steps like downloading a separate app. That said, Gemini still can't be your daily agent, but it cannot be blamed on Samsung yet.

90% Samsung Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S25+ Review: Solid Foundation, Supercharged with AI
Origen: NDTV Gadgets Inglés EN→ES
The Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S25+ are the best S-series flagships from Samsung. They are far better than their predecessors, and everything seems to be an upgrade, especially for people still holding on to their Galaxy S21, S22 and S23 models. The Galaxy S25 series is a significant upgrade and should be considered. For Galaxy S24 users, the upgrades are not that great, and they can skip this year. The AI integrations on the Galaxy S25 are superior and better than ever. I can comfortably say that the Galaxy AI is years ahead of the competition, which is still busy pushing updates for its gallery app and claiming AI can do it for you. Thankfully, Samsung has gone past that era and with Gemini deep integrations, you can get much more done with your voice than ever. However, that brings me to the point that AI is still not the feature that can turn the tables for companies.

90% Samsung Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S25+ review: More of the same, but with a wicked AI twist
Origen: Tech2 Inglés EN→ES
Like the Galaxy S25 Ultra, the S25 and S25+ don’t bring a ton of new hardware changes. Instead, Samsung is betting big on AI, particularly Agentic AI, to make the S25 series feel fresh and exciting. While this strategy may not have been enough to justify the Ultra model’s price tag, it actually makes a lot more sense for the S25 and S25+. For the first time in years, all three models in the S series offer the exact same software experience, with the S Pen being the only real differentiator. That alone makes the S25 and S25+ some of the most compelling non-Ultra Galaxy flagships in years. But let’s be honest — outside of the AI features, not much has changed. The display is the same as last year’s S24, the camera system remains untouched, and the battery size and charging speeds are identical.

Origen: 91mobiles Inglés EN→ES
While most of the upgrades on the Galaxy S25+ are incremental, there’s no doubt that this is the smartest and most powerful “Plus” variant on the market. The Snapdragon 8 Elite unlocks incredible performance, and Galaxy AI continues to elevate the user experience across productivity and camera functions. Compared to the iPhone 16 Plus, Samsung’s S25+ offers more power and smarter AI features. The battery performance remains standard, and Samsung could explore options like a larger capacity or faster charging speeds. Additionally, the next iteration could introduce new camera hardware for sharper details. If these two factors matter most to you, the OPPO Find X8 Pro or Vivo X200 Pro are worthy alternatives.

Samsung Galaxy S25, Plus review: AI-enhanced, but are they worthy flagships
Origen: Business Standard Inglés EN→ES
The Samsung Galaxy S25 and S25 Plus have received notable upgrades, particularly in performance, with the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip and increased RAM. While camera performance and battery life see fewer improvements over their predecessors, both models remain among the best in their segments. However, the absence of Dolby Vision HDR support might be a drawback for some users. The Galaxy S25 Plus is an excellent choice for those seeking a flagship device with a large display and strong battery life. Meanwhile, the Galaxy S25 stands out as one of the best compact flagship smartphones, offering top-tier hardware and features in a smaller form factor.

Review: The Galaxy S25+ is the same, but the vibes are much different
Origen: 9to5google Inglés EN→ES
It was expected that the Galaxy S25+ would end up being a pretty underwhelming phone, but it’s turned out to be the opposite. Maybe that’s just One UI 7 working on a slightly snappier infrastructure, but it feels like Samsung is finally getting to the pinnacle of things. The design of the phone is all too familiar, but is that a bad thing? I happen to think the Galaxy S24 was a beautiful shift to a modern look without the fluff that other OEMs try to imbue. The phone looks good year after year, and it now packs the best hardware it possibly can, other than a lower RAM amount for some unknown reason. The point is that One UI 7 makes this phone. Of course, that also means the Galaxy S24 series will get most of what the OS offers on this device in a couple of months — hopefully.

70% I've been using the Galaxy S25 and S25 Plus for over a week, and I don't understand why they exist
Origen: Android Authority Inglés EN→ES
The TL;DR here is that the vast majority of people with an already capable phone should not buy the Galaxy S25 or Galaxy S25 Plus. Of course, that won’t stop these phones from selling just fine. You see, I know what Samsung is doing here. These phones are only slightly better than the Galaxy S24 series, but they are much better than the Galaxy S22 series. For example, the Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S22 Plus have smaller displays that aren’t nearly as bright. They also have smaller batteries and weaker selfie cameras. Obviously, they also have weaker processors, especially if you bought one with an Exynos 2200 SoC. What Samsung is assuming here is that the people who have been holding on to a Galaxy S22 (or an even older phone) will see the Galaxy S25 as a significant upgrade.

The 2025 middle model among Samsung’s flagship Galaxy S series is perhaps our favorite as a nice balance of price, thinness, big screen OLED goodness and solid cameras. The Samsung Galaxy S25+ has a 6.7” QHD+ AMOLED display, the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite processor (same as in the S25 Ultra) and a host of AI features including Google Gemini. Origen: Expert Reviews Inglés EN→ES
Neither as charmingly compact as the Galaxy S25 nor as flat-out impressive as the Galaxy S25 Ultra, it’s tempting to question the purpose of the Galaxy S25 Plus’s existence. It doesn’t make any meaningful advances on the Plus formula, while its value proposition is questionable in the wake of the OnePlus 13. However, Samsung’s slimmed-down design makes this a large phone that’s unusually easy to live with, while its performance and battery life are stronger than ever. There’s virtually nothing here that a brand new Galaxy S24 Plus can’t do for less money, but the Galaxy S25 Plus remains a highly competent phone regardless.

80% Samsung Galaxy S25 Plus review: the unsung hero?
Origen: T3 Inglés EN→ES
The Samsung Galaxy S25 Plus, on paper, doesn’t look like an exciting phone – simply because it's so similar to its predecessor. Once it’s in your pocket, however, it’s a better experience – showing off, once again, how well-oiled Samsung's flagship machine is. In many ways, the Galaxy S25 Plus is actually more manageable than its S25 Ultra big brother, which might make it more attractive to some people. That also comes down to the good experience that Samsung offers with its phones, combined with a design and build that still feels great. But ringing the AI bell repeatedly isn’t necessarily the answer to everything. The AI features add little to the S25 Plus' daily experience, while the duplication of those features from Samsung and Google feels like it's cluttering the phone up.

Origen: Tom's Guide Inglés EN→ES
The Galaxy S25 Plus isn’t a terrible phone. Quite the contrary, it’s one of the smartest and most feature packed phones you’ll find. However, it’s in no man’s land because of its price and where it’s positioned in the lineup of best Samsung phones There’s $200 separating the prices of S25 Plus from the standard S25, but the only difference is that the Plus has a larger display and double the storage capacity. The cameras are identical on both models, too. However, I’m disappointed that the battery life performance isn’t longer given how the S25 Plus has a much larger capacity. Another thing that softens the Galaxy S25 Plus’ value is that it’s competing at the same price as the iPhone 16 Pro. The Galaxy S25 Plus clearly doesn’t have as good of a camera performance, especially in the telephoto zoom department.

Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge vs Galaxy S25 Plus: The new kid on the block

There are a lot of questions before anyone would be able to stamp a final verdict on this one. The price tag of the Galaxy S25 Edge is still a mystery; we only know that it will be cheaper than the Ultra, but that's logical. We still don't know how the Snapdragon 8 Elite will perform in the slim body of the Edge, nor how the two-camera system will handle the competition of the triple system on the S25 Plus. The way we see it, the Galaxy S25 Edge is trying to probe the market for a niche that's unexplored—a lightweight and thin flagship with a big screen and a basic camera layout.

Origen: The Verge Inglés EN→ES
Maybe it’s the hardware cycle slowing down. Maybe it’s software season. Maybe we’ve just reached peak phone. A combination led us to the iterative S25 series. But does that matter if you’re ready to trade in your S21 and you just want something familiar that works? If you fit that description, the S25 or S25 Plus will do the job. The Galaxy S25 is the last full-featured, sensibly sized Android phone you can buy in the US. And the S25 Plus has the big screen that people apparently want. The cameras are good, battery life is fine, and the software updates will flow for seven years. If this is peak phone, it’s not a bad place to be. The Galaxy S25 presents an attractive image of what useful AI could look like on our phones.

The Samsung Galaxy S25 Plus is an interesting phone. It lacks the flagship appeal of the S25 Ultra with its larger display, S Pen and enhanced camera options, and it lacks the affordability of its smaller S25 sibling. But for many people, this is probably the phone to choose. There’s plenty of power on offer for a premium experience, the display is fantastic, the battery life is great and even if the charging sounds slow on paper, the reality is quite different. The daily user experience that you get from Samsung is still one of the best that you’ll find in the Android space. It’s all packed into a phone that looks and feels great and even though it looks like the last phone, in many ways, it still feels better in your hand and better in your pocket than some of its rivals.

80% Samsung Galaxy S25+ review: this uninspiring update is for a limited audience
Origen: Stuff TV Inglés EN→ES
The Galaxy S25+ was always going to be a hard sell. It has far more direct rivals than the smaller S25, and isn’t really that far removed from the flagship S25 Ultra. It’s also essentially a retread of last year’s model, with just a new chipset and the mildest of design refreshes with to coax upgraders. That means it’s a consistently good phone – great, even – and the Galaxy AI additions are very slick. But they’ll almost certainly head to older models in an OTA update over the coming months, so if there’s an S24 Plus in your pocket right now, I strongly advise holding onto it for at least another year. And if you’re not wedded to Samsung’s wider ecosystem, the longer lasting, faster charging OnePlus 13 is seriously tempting for similar cash.

There's no two ways about it––the Galaxy S25 Plus is the absolutely smallest inter-generational upgrade that Samsung could come up with. Aside from the hardware improvements that come of as natural, there's little here that's exciting and simply beckoning consumers to upgrade to this phone. However, as a person who has used and reviewed all the Galaxy S Plus phone from recent years, this one is definitely the most refined out yet. Years of slow but persistent evolution here and there have culminated to a phone that's very unremarkable, but hardly has any major flaws at all. In fact, the biggest issues with the Galaxy S25 Plus are called the Galaxy S24 Plus and Galaxy S23 Plus. If you look past the close family resemblance, this one does a lot of things right.

75% Review: The Galaxy S25+ proves the Samsung you love is long gone
Origen: Android Police Inglés EN→ES
I promised I’d be fair, and while it pains me to say it, the Galaxy S25+ is the best choice for millions of smartphone users. If you don’t like the smaller screen of the standard Galaxy S25, the S25+ is a better choice than the Ultra, allowing you to save money and get much of the same performance. Samsung did an excellent job narrowing down the features casual users look for, such as a fantastic display, solid battery life, and good photos, while leaving enough deficiencies below the surface to make a tech journalist lose sleep. I’m practical enough to know Samsung fans should pick up a Galaxy S25+ if they’re coming from an older device on a typical carrier upgrade cycle, but that doesn’t mean I give Samsung a gold star when I know the company is capable of doing much more.

The Samsung Galaxy S25 Plus builds on the success of its predecessor, the Galaxy S24 Plus, with the inclusion of the new Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy processor and One UI 7, which introduces a host of AI-powered features. Many of these AI features will likely reach older Galaxy series smartphones with One UI 7 is pushed in updates later on but this likely won’t occur for some time and not all AI features may necessarily make it to older models. These include more natural voice interactions, an impressive Audio Eraser tool, Browsing Assist and more. Samsung also promises seven years of OS and security updates, ensuring long-term software support and adding to its longevity.

91% Galaxy S25 and S25 Plus Review: AI That's Enjoyable Without Being Overwhelming
Origen: CNet Inglés EN→ES
Perhaps the highest praise I can give to a phone in 2025 is that there was just enough AI to not make me go crazy. The S25 and S25 Plus have their fair share of AI-powered features, but for the most part, there are only several that I can see myself willingly using. Others like Portrait Studio and Drawing Assist may be fun for keynote demos, but don't seem to serve a real purpose beyond that. (But it wouldn't be a Galaxy phone without a flashy feature no one uses, right??) Thankfully, the Galaxy S25 and S25 Plus continue to deliver on what, to me, makes the Galaxy S series notable: good cameras, solid battery life and a seamless interface. Because there are so many similarities between the S25 and S25 Plus, and the higher battery capacity on the Plus didn't result in any startling differences (although superfast charging is great), I'd personally save some money and just go with the baseline S25.

Samsung Galaxy S25 and S25 Plus Smartphones Review
Origen: OI Spice Tech News Inglés EN→ES
The Samsung fanbase influenced smartphone markers to upgrade to the Samsung Galaxy S25 series. First of all, the overall smartphone’s processor turned to a performative side with the upgrade to the Snapdragon chipset from the previous Exynos setup. Compared to the previous generation S series phones, the huge jump in the performance department is evident. And if you are a normal user, you won’t be disappointed with the software either. The clean and powerful interface makes sure to meet all of the demands. Moreover, there are enormous enhancements in the cameras, aesthetics, and wireless charging. Still, if you look at the whole picture, it’s just the beginning of 2025, and there are lots of flagship smartphones yet to come.

Last year, a big update was made to the Galaxy S Plus model. The S24+ got back its QHD+ resolution and 12GB of RAM and was also included as part of Samsung's impressive seven-year software support promise. You still get all of that this year, but arguably, you don't get nearly as big of an upgrade. The S25+ has a slightly more refined design, a new Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, and better connectivity, such as Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 support.

Review – Samsung Galaxy S25+
Origen: NLT Inglés EN→ES
So, at the end of the review – should you buy the Samsung Galaxy S25+? Well, I do think that I’m in a unique position to talk about this because I am using the S24+ with Exynos 2400 for the past year. And I do think that it’s just not worth upgrading whether if you’re using the the S24+ with the Exynos or Snapdragon version. The improvement is just not that much. However, if you are coming from the S23+ or older, then yes – it’s a good time to upgrade. Remember, the S24+ is the generation that got a “redesign” with a bigger battery, better screen with tiny bezels, and also a high-resolution 1440p resolution. And that’s all that we have to share with you in today’s video about the Galaxy S25+ and also sort of a comparison with the S24+ with the Exynos 2400. While this is most definitely a hot take – I am quite disappointed that the Exynos 2500 is not available this for the S25+. It would’ve been great to see what kind of improvements that Samsung had been cooking.

The Galaxy S25 Plus is a great phone that gets the job done thanks to a large display, capable cameras, and a Snapdragon chip that performs excellently. One UI 7 is the best software Samsung has put on a phone, and it's made better with the AI additions. However, with a lack of hardware upgrades compared to the previous model, the Galaxy S25 Plus feels very much the same and isn't as exciting of an upgrade as it should be.

How do I summarize the Galaxy S25 Plus experience? After two weeks, I’m still taken back to my first two days with it and the range of emotions I felt. As it turns out, they summarize the entire experience extremely well. At first, I was excited to review the Galaxy S25 Plus as it was my first time using Samsung’s middle phone extensively. The feel in the hand, the weight, and the color all felt great and I was excited to dig in. When I did so, the cracks began to appear. First, the durability concerns. Second, the camera’s shortcomings. These two combined to make the phone feel somewhat lackluster. The lack of improvement in the camera aside, this is not down to Samsung. The performance is second to none, the battery is outstanding and even the charging is approaching more than acceptable.

The Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S25 Plus both sit in a pretty peculiar spot. For the Galaxy S25, it’s competing with the likes of the Pixel 9 and OnePlus 13 (even though it starts at $100 more). Meanwhile, the Galaxy S25 Plus is essentially competing with another Samsung phone – the Galaxy S25 Ultra – along with other flagships. Making it the red-headed step-child of the Galaxy S25 family, which I know a bit about. Nevertheless, I really like both of these phones. I do believe that these are both more comfortable to hold than the Galaxy S25 Ultra. And to be honest, you’re not missing a whole lot by going with the Galaxy S25 or S25 Plus over the Galaxy S25 Ultra.

Samsung Galaxy S25+ and S25 review: Playing it safe

Is Samsung running out of ideas? That's my main takeaway after testing its latest Galaxy S25+ and S25 smartphones, which are more or less the same as last year's S24 phones, which are themselves just minor updates from the S23 models. Perhaps it's just the current state of the smartphone industry. Instead of innovating on the hardware or the design, Samsung has gone all-in on Galaxy AI, offering even deeper integration with Google's Gemini AI assistant. What this means is that the Samsung Galaxy S25+ and S25 phones feel more like Samsung-flavoured takes on the Google Pixel. The design is unchanged from last year's. It's bland, inoffensive, and somewhat lacking in personality. And of course, there are new colours.

Samsung knows how to build a phone. The fit and finish of its latest flagship handsets are impressive, whether aluminum or titanium. The feel of the glass, the metal finish, and side button tactility are all best-in-class. Samsung's OLED displays are also above reproach, offering high brightness, excellent contrast even in low light, great saturation and amazingly low reflectivity, in the case of the Ultra. Last year's Samsung flagships were fast, but Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite sets a new standard for flagship performance. The thermal performance could be better, but the 8 Elite is so fast you should still see good performance even when the phones heat up. And if you care about AI, the Galaxy S25 series will really wow you.

Hands-on: Is Galaxy AI even better on the Samsung Galaxy S25 series?
Origen: Hardware Zone Inglés EN→ES
Most of Samsung’s new additions are software-based, given the company’s massive partnership with Google and its dogged pursuit of an AI-heavy approach to offering a renewed phone experience through One UI 7 and the Samsung Galaxy S25 series. Many of these features work well, assuming you care enough to use them regularly and rely on them to make a difference. There’s no dispute that the entire mobile AI experience feels most seamless on a Samsung device. This is in addition to the assurance of Samsung Knox security and integration into other Samsung products, such as SmartThings-enabled appliances or its wearables, like the Galaxy Ring. However, it remains to be seen how the Samsung Galaxy S25 series (especially the Ultra) truly adds value to existing Samsung flagship users. If you’re on an older Korean flagship, chances are you have already experienced many cool AI features seen there either as a download or add-on, or you’ve relied on older versions of its firmware (pre-One UI 7).

Origen: Canbuyornot Inglés EN→ES
Most of the new AI features seem to revolve around Google Gemini, which is also available on cheaper phones such as the Xiaomi 14T Pro, so I'm a bit confused by the positioning here. Given how expensive the Galaxy S25 phones are compared with their Chinese rivals, they don't seem to have enough to stand out for now. But then again, I wonder just how much AI features people use, and whether these features drive adoption. My gut says probably not a lot. Prices start from S$1,288 for the Samsung Galaxy S25 (256GB), S$1,478 for the Galaxy S25+ (256GB), and S$1,828 for the Galaxy S25 Ultra (256GB). Pre-orders are now open till Feb 13. In other news, the Samsung Galaxy Ring is finally available now in Singapore at S$538. We hope to get the review units for these devices soon, so stay tuned.

Samsung’s S25 and S25 Plus offer more of the same
Origen: The Verge Inglés EN→ES
Some of the new features represent more meaningful progress. The phone’s AI assistant — which is now based on Google Gemini by default, with Samsung’s own Bixby relegated to access through its app — can control your phone with natural language requests. Ask it to make text bigger or find photos from your last holiday, and it should oblige. Gemini can now also work across multiple apps in a single interaction, though this upgrade isn’t exclusive to Samsung. It might look up a good restaurant and share it with your friend or pull up sports fixtures and add them to your calendar. The problem for me is that most of these features are hard to test in-depth when you’re at a launch event using a phone that isn’t yours, has few apps installed and no accounts signed in, and might have only been set up for the first time that morning.

Samsung Galaxy S25 vs Plus vs Ultra | Which is best for me?

If you've got money to burn and want the best possible camera setup, check out that Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra. This upgrades the ultra-wide to 50MP, while you get the same 200MP main shooter and dual lens telephoto camera arrangement as usual. This 6.9-inch behemoth of a phone also offers that S Pen stylus and more rugged design vs the S25 and Plus. All three boast a glorious Dynamic AMOLED 2X display that's pleasingly bright and poppy, although only the Ultra has that Armor 2 anti-reflection glass. The Samsung Galaxy S25 Plus sports the same QHD+ resolution, while all three are powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite. So gamers should be satisfied, especially as Sammy has boosted the vapor chamber size. No changes in the battery setup however. The Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra and its smaller siblings stick with the same capacity as the S24 series. Likewise, charging speeds haven't improved - although you do get Qi 2 wireless charging support in 2025.

At first glance, we had mixed feelings about Samsung’s Galaxy S25 series. While the hardware is solid as always, it doesn’t really push the envelope in terms of specs, which is somewhat disappointing. That being said, the customized Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC that powers these devices should deliver a nice boost in overall performance, along with improved thermals on the S25 Ultra. This should help to maintain performance during extended use. And again, some of the new AI features and functionality – like Gemini being able to interact directly with apps, and the “Personal Data Engine” secure, on-device LLM – is very intriguing. We’re looking forward to testing this in our forthcoming review.

Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra, S25+ and S25 hands-on review
Origen: GSM Arena Inglés EN→ES
The good news is that the rumors about price hikes weren't true, so the starting price of the entry-level configurations remains the same - €1,450/£1,250 for the S25 Ultra, €1,150/£1,000 for the S25+ and the vanilla asks €900/£800. The bad news is that all three offer modest upgrades over their predecessors, especially the S25 and the S25+. They both feel kind of neglected this time around. And while the S25 Ultra's new, more pocketable design is certainly exciting, the S Pen has lost its wireless connectivity features, which were the sole reason many of us here at GSMArena HQ took the stylus out to begin with. Samsung might as well do a full circle and offer a version without the stylus altogether. Anyway, one thing is clear - Samsung is betting big on AI and software polish and improvements, but it's early to say how this move will pan out regarding sales.

Although the U.S. price for the S25 Ultra starts at $1,299, which converts to $1,862 CAD, so it looks like there’s a bit of a Canadian premium. Samsung gives us "more of the same" with the Galaxy S25 Ultra and the Galaxy S25 Plus, while simultaneously improving some of the key areas that usually matter… and that's not bad, not bad at all! After all, Samsung has been figuratively killing it with its flagship in the past few years and seemingly feels quite comfortable releasing consistently great phones, arguably the best Android ones you can get your hands on. Sure, one might argue that the company is no longer bold and its flagships are nowadays boring, yet we can't argue that Samsung has been continuously perfecting the formula. As to which one should you get, that's entirely up to your size and feature needs: the Galaxy S25 Ultra is definitely the upper-tier and more feature-rich phone, with more head-turning aspects to it that will make it that much more premium than the Galaxy S25 Plus.

The Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S25 Plus look strikingly similar, much like their respective predecessors, with the primary differences being screen size and battery capacity. This comparison will soon be updated with benchmark scores and camera samples. However, even at this point, it’s evident that Samsung is sticking to its usual formula: offering a slightly larger version of its standard flagship with a bigger battery and a larger screen. Whether people will be willing to pay the extra $200 for the Plus remains to be seen.

My end feeling having spent a little time with the new Samsung phones is that it’s more of the same. Yes, we get a powerful new chipset this year, and a LOT of AI stuff, but the experience of holding, using and owning the latest S25 Plus will feel very much like the last one. It’s clear each new generation is just a small jump on the last one, and that’s very much true, perhaps more than ever, with the latest. With companies putting so much focus and attention on AI, there’s less focus on improving and upgrading hardware. If you have a 3-4 year old Samsung, by all means you’ll feel a difference jumping up those three or four generations, but anyone with a Samsung phone from the last two years will have very little reason to upgrade. Still, if you are upgrading this year, I still get the sense that this takes some good bits from the Ultra, offered in a package that’s lighter, slimmer and more affordable, hopefully retaining its spot as the Goldilocks Samsung phone for 2025.

Samsung Galaxy S25 Plus preview: Refinement over revolution
Origen: Phone Arena Inglés EN→ES
All things considered, it appears that the Galaxy S25 Plus will unsurprisingly be an incremental improvement over the Galaxy S24 Plus. Should we be worried that Samsung has been announcing basically the same phone for a couple of years now? Well, yes and no. On one hand, it's the Galaxy S25 Ultra that will be the star of the show, so a mediocre evolutionary upgrade for the mid-range device is expected. On the other hand, with a thinner design, possibly brighter display, and a powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, it’s shaping up to be a polished, reliable device nonetheless. While it may not offer groundbreaking innovation, the focus on refinement ensures that the Galaxy S25 Plus will meet the needs of those seeking a dependable and high-performing Android flagship. If prices remain unchanged, so a $1,000 for the base model, we might be once again looking at a dependable phone that will clash well with the likes of the iPhone 16 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro.

Comentario
