Should I recommend the Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra? Absolutely not, if you already own the Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra and/or only buy tablets for taking pictures. Should you buy the Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra if you want to buy the best Android tablet on the market at any price? Of course, you should! While Samsung's best tablet has not seen any significantly improvements, it has definitely experienced some gains in certain areas. These are small things like the more powerful MediaTek processor or the now less reflective display. Even Wi-Fi 7 is a meaningful improvement if we consider how the tablet will be supplied with up to seven years of software updates.

The Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra doesn’t reinvent the wheel, but it’s still an impressive high-end Android tablet. The form factor is as compact as it can reasonably be given the size of the display, and the OLED itself is impeccable. The Tab S10 Ultra is also very snappy with that new MediaTek chip. However, it’s also one of the most expensive Android devices that doesn’t fold in half. Samsung’s take on Android is a bit cluttered, but you’ll be happy to have the One UI multitasking system on this slate. It makes it easier to take advantage of all that screen real estate with split-screen, saved app groups, floating apps, and more. There aren’t very many apps that work well on the Tab S10 Ultra’s giant screen, so app windowing is essential.

With prices starting at £1199 and going upwards if you need more storage, the Tab S10 Ultra is one of the most expensive tablets you can buy. For around the same money you could have a Surface Pro or a MacBook Air with more power and a wider range of software. The 13-inch iPad Air with the M2 processor will cost you £400 less. Yet Samsung's monster tablet still makes a compelling argument for itself, thanks to its awesome screen, multitasking capabilities, good performance, and lightweight design.

Now that the iPad Pro has an OLED display, the Samsung Tab S8 Ultra, S9 Ultra, and now S10 Ultra are less unique and standout. What's more noteworthy is that Apple is beating Samsung at its own game – screen quality – thanks to the brighter tandem OLED display in the iPad Pro. Where the Tab S10 Ultra edges ahead for 2024 is its screen aspect ratio. Being widescreen, it's much better for watching widescreen content on, looking stunningly immersive with minimal letterboxing for 16:9 and even 20:9/21:9 shows. Samsung's interface and DeX are also more malleable than Apple's iPad OS for multi-tasking and working with external displays, and Android's file management system is less finicky than that of Apple, so the Tab S10 Ultra is arguably a more flexible laptop replacement, especially for Windows users.

After testing the Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra for almost two weeks, I've found it a superb option for creative professionals and productivity-focused users looking to take advantage of a strong processor and reliable AI features. Even those looking for an AI-powered tablet like an iPad Pro would do well to consider the Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra, especially while we wait for the Apple Intelligence features to arrive. The S10 Ultra is a futureproof tablet with a powerful chipset, Wi-Fi 7 support, and long-term OS updates, perfect for power users. But the tablet won't come cheap; the S10 Ultra starts at $1,200. If you like having a tablet that doesn't cost a mortgage payment and that you can carry anywhere to work at odd hours of the evening and play during downtimes, you'd probably do best getting a Samsung Tab S9 FE or an iPad 10th Generation.

At a starting price of Rs 108,999 for the Wi-Fi version, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra is undoubtedly the best Android tablet of 2024. Buy the pricier 5G version (starting at Rs 122,999) if you are always on the move. With the S-Pen and the new AI features, there is little the competition can do to come close to what this tablet offers. However, if you are already a Tab S9 user then wait for the upgrade as expected for the chip as this device is almost similar to yours. New users need to check out the size of this tablet before committing.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra leaves me with mixed feelings. On one hand, it’s an undeniably impressive bit of kit and a delight to use, but on the other, it’s so similar to the previous model that there’s barely any reason to upgrade. To summarise the changes, this model gets an anti-glare coating on the display, a slimmer and tougher aluminium shell, a new Dimensity chipset and some different colour finishes. The anti-glare coating does make a difference, but it’s unlikely to sway current Tab S9 Ultra owners, and the Dimensity 9300+ doesn’t make a big enough difference to warrant an upgrade either. That leaves us with Galaxy AI features, most of which are already available on the Tab S9 Ultra. The only exclusive features are the Portrait Studio and Sketch to Image, owing to the newer NPU in the S10 Ultra.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra is undoubtedly a powerhouse, offering a premium experience with its massive 14.6-inch AMOLED display, top-tier performance, and a host of productivity-focused features. Its stunning screen and rich array of AI-powered functionalities make it an excellent choice for creatives and professionals. For those deeply integrated into the Samsung ecosystem, features like seamless device integration and DeX mode offer substantial value. However, if your primary focus is performance-heavy tasks like video editing or 3D rendering, the iPad Pro M4 may still be a better option due to its superior benchmarks. Additionally, iPadOS supports a wider variety of creator-centric apps compared to Android.

Biggest doesn’t always also mean best, but I’d argue it most definitely does for the Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra. Samsung’s flagship slate improves on its predecessor in all the right places: the reflection-busting screen is a joy to use on sunny days, the AI additions are genuinely useful if you do a lot of note-taking, and I’ll never say no to more performance. A longer software update promise is most welcome, too. With no-one else competing at this end of the Android tablet spectrum, this is the de facto new yardstick. There’ve only been minor gains from the Tab S9 Ultra, though, so owners won’t find much reason to upgrade.

Samsung’s Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra is the South Korean company’s best tablet. While it’s much bigger than I’d want for a tablet, it’s a fantastic product with top-of-the-line specifications. This flagship device sports a 14.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X 120Hz HDR10+ panel with a 1,848 x 2,960-pixel resolution. It features a MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ chipset on a 4nm process, and everything I do with it runs incredibly smoothly. The gaming looked great, and seeing it all on the large, beautiful display was lovely. I’ve been playing games on mobile, streaming with the PS Remote Play, or downloading titles via Play Pass.

Unless you fit a very specific use case, I don't recommend the Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra. Typically, I'm a big fan of Samsung's Plus model each year, but I have bounced right off the Ultra. It's too tall when held in portrait, uncomfortably so. The bezels are too thin, resulting in an incredibly unsightly camera notch and making the device hard to hold without touching the screen. The thinness of the entire package may look pleasing, but it feels too much like a design that wasn't created with the end user in mind. Nor do I enjoy the fact little has been done to change the look since the previous model. The Tab S10 Ultra feels stagnant while also filled with too many compromises to keep the weight down, which is no bueno for me.

OK, so there's a slight upgrade in performance here, and possibly more Galaxy AI features to come. Should you upgrade from a Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra or Tab S8 Ultra? These are expensive tablets, and for the time being, we don't see a good enough reason to jump. But, if it's your first foray into the flagship Samsung tablet scene — yeah, the Tab S10 Ultra will be as good as it gets. The S Pen is fantastic, the new chip will ensure you have headroom for years to come. If you find a Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra at a clearance deal, that may still be the better price-to-value ratio, so shop around. But yes, you will be missing out on that awesome anti-reflective coating. For a good enough discount — we'd say do so. Otherwise, just get the new Tab S10 Ultra and don't sweat it too much.

To answer this question, you need to first consider whether any Android tablet is worth buying. The challenges facing the Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra experience are not of Samsung’s making but rather down to Android. If you can live with those shortcomings in the experience, then the Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra is the best big-screen Android experience you can buy. If you want a tablet for media consumption and prioritize screen real estate over everything else, this is a great choice. Similarly, this is a great complementary device if you use a Samsung phone or laptop. However, if you want to use this as a replacement for a laptop or are hoping for a smooth experience similar to the iPad Pro, you won’t find it.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra is a relatively minor update to the top-end tablet, but I’d argue that it doesn’t matter all that much; this isn’t a tablet that’s designed to tempt Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra owners to upgrade. Instead, it’s for those new to the tablet, and that’s where the S10 Ultra shines with its large 14.6-inch screen, sleek dimensions, impressive power (for an Android tablet, anyway) and Galaxy AI smarts. There are issues with having such a large screen – it’s less portable and portrait-style apps look comical on such a sizeable panel – but it’s better-suited for movie-watching with its 16:10 aspect ratio, and also lends itself well to split-screen multitasking. It just depends on what you’re after from a tablet.

Reviewing Samsung's Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra 5G after a week of full-time use, including this 15-inch tablet's gaming abilities, battery life, AI features and beyond. The Samsung Tab S10 Ultra is one of the best but most expensive Android slates of 2024, but is it an iPad Pro beater? Well, whether you're a gamer, movie fan, mobile worker or just proper rich and fancy a tablet, there's loads to love here. Mediatek's Dimensity 9300 Plus powers the Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra 5G, providing plenty of grunt for gaming.

None of these AI features, taken as a whole or on their own merits, justify buying or upgrading to the Tab S10 Ultra from an S9 Ultra, and the same goes for the fairly minor hardware upgrades. Those who bought a Tab S9 Ultra last year can rest easy: this latest model isn’t that much better. However, given it costs the same as last year’s tablet – prices start at £1,199 for the 256GB Wi-Fi model, rise to £1,299 for the 512GB and then £1,549 for the one with 1TB storage – there’s no reason to opt for the old one if you’re buying from new.

We are having a hard time finding huge upgrades here, for people that might have the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra or Tab S9 Ultra. It's definitely an upgrade that looks to keep the Galaxy Tab S current and on top of the Android foodchain, so first-time buyers have something to go to that's recent. It's definitely still a premium-feeling, well-designed tablet, and the new anti-reflective glass is a very welcome upgrade. We do have to test it extensively against the Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra, for sure, but for now — we are not seeing huge excitement over this model. More to come!

And while it undercuts a 13in iPad Pro, Apple’s tablet still has the lead in terms of third-party creative software. It’s a niche product, then – but on first inspection, Samsung has filled that niche very nicely indeed.

Finally, there are the features. Samsung has always created feature-rich smartphones and the FE is no different. Much like the rest of the S24 line, the FE includes AI-powered tools like Circle to Search, Live Translate, and Composer, which uses AI to generate text whether you’re writing an email or a social media post. It’s sort of a souped-up predictive text. There are also plenty of photo-based features such as Instant Slow-Mo, and Portrait Studio which give an artistic flair to selfies, reimagining them as watercolors, sketches, and comics. And of course, there are Generative Edit and Edit Suggestions for easy-peasy photo-editing.
