Y no barato precisamente.

If you want a more powerful phone and better cameras, the iPhone 12 Pro Max is the better option, but Apple doesn't have anything nearly as innovative in its lineup to take on the Z Fold 2. An iPhone Flip could be on the way at some point, but we doubt it will be anytime soon. Overall, I am really impressed with what Samsung has accomplished with the Galaxy Z Fold 2. This is clearly the best foldable phone yet and a sign of great things to come in the category.

Now is a really tempting time to be considering the Galaxy Z Fold 2. If you look at Swappa, you can get one for about half the retail cost, coming in around $925. Heading over to Amazon, the Z Fold 2 is going for $1,200 if you want to get one through the Amazon Renewed Store. Some may not find that super enticing, but going this route has its benefits, as you have a 90-day warranty to get a refund or replacement. With the Galaxy Z Fold 3 right around the corner (literally), if you’re considering the Z Fold 2, I would recommend waiting until after this week’s Unpacked event. We don’t know what Samsung will have in store, and we still don’t know what final pricing is going to look like in all regions. But if you know that you don’t want to spend the $1,800 to $2,000 on a phone, then I would definitely recommend picking up the Fold 2. Just know what you’re getting into with the heft, so-so cameras and potentially frustrating app support.

The Galaxy Z Fold 2 is one of my favorite phones ever. This is partly because it is unique, but it's different in a way that is compelling and useful. I can appreciate a weird phone like the LG Wing (RIP) but that isn’t going to sway me to spend money unless it meets my needs in some way that a traditional phone can’t. The Galaxy Z Fold 2 undeniably achieves that goal. From the software to the hardware, it offers a variety of features that others can’t match. The screen size, whether you are using it for full-screen apps or for multitasking, gives me what I would want from a tablet without me needing to carry a second device or a bag with me. The cameras, while not the best of the best, offer solid results and have many fun extras that make using them a joy to use.

While more and more mid-range phones are picking up high-end tier features from flagships, perhaps Samsung foresaw this and decided something new, something unthinkable - releasing the first foldable smartphone back in 2019. While it wasn't perfect at first, the company set the path to making foldable phones more mainstream. Samsung Malaysia is currently one of few brands that have viable foldable devices available in Malaysia. A flagship is often something very much desired by smartphone enthusiasts because it offers the best features. Back then, the Galaxy Z Fold2 and Galaxy Z Flip were something special but for a high price. But in case you missed it, both of these foldable phones prices have dropped permanently and now consumers can enjoy the one-of-a-kind experience foldable smartphone.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold2 5G’s big display is the primary attraction here. That said, the Z Fold2’s audio performance is not bad — it groups this flagship with other average audio performers in most respects. In playback, it stands out for good dynamics performance at high volume, a solid artifacts performance, and strong volume performance. The timbre performance has some issues, as a lack of upper content muffles the tonal balance at all tested volumes. As a recording device, the Z Fold2 did better, with a good overall timbre performance, good artifacts performance, and a good showing in the spatial attribute. But in loud environments, the device had some issues in recording, including a lack of clarity and nasality in voices. The plosives lack sharpness, and the background isn’t properly attenuated, impacting the dynamics performance.

All in all, fold2 is a great phone to live with and live by. On the downside, missed having a stylus, missed a larger battery life and I would strongly recommend Samsung that in its next iteration they should think of a sleeker and squarer phone with a wider outer screen. The device’s length is perfect, and when it folds out at 7.6 inches, it looks dapper. But if you ask me, an ideal fold3 should fold out to an 8.2-inch screen and weigh less than 225gm. The fold2 currently weighs 282 gm and puts things in perspective, the Samsung S21 ultra weighs 169 gm.

The use of the Cover Display and main display is practical as it gives you less reasons to own a separate tablet, vibrant and colourful main display, you get good battery life, great dual-speaker performance, solid performance with Snapdragon 865+, good camera quality, and adaptive refresh rate. The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 is probably not the smartphone to buy if your primary aim is a great camera setup. It performs fairly well across a range of general circumstances, but has many small issues that would be problematic for photo perfectionists. Color and exposure are good across most tested circumstances, but loss of texture emerges as a problem in a variety of our tests, especially in low-light and indoor situations. Noise and a variety of artifacts also dragged down the device’s score. The ultra-wide brings an enormous field of view, but again loss of texture, too. The same texture problem rears its head with the telephoto module. In video, it’s a similar story: functional in general, but not delivering on the fine details. Accurate white balance, good color rendering, and exposure are counterbalanced by issues with autofocus, limited tracking abilities, and again, loss of texture.

While the Z Fold 2 will definitely burn a big hole in your pocket, there is hardly any other smartphone that can be considered a worthy alternative. This is a great phone. It’s a big screen in a small package, without compromise. I bought it because it does all the things I really want in a phone, ie: great battery life, beautiful screens, easy to use, great cameras and an unparalleled main display. It’s going to be great at what I use a phone for: taking and sharing pictures, catching up on Twitter and email, watching movies and playing music, and perhaps doing the occasional work in Office. I still contend that the best productivity suite available is a laptop and a phone, and I don’t see myself leaving a laptop at home when I travel (if I ever travel again). But the Z Fold 2 isn’t a small laptop, it’s a big phone, one that, amazingly, folds up. I’m excited to get past the setup phase and really start using this phone.

In my view, you should buy it if you can get the most out of all the incredible features that it offers. Don’t buy it if the bulk of your usage comprises of social media apps, because half of them look terrible on the main display anyway (not Samsung’s fault), and if you’re just looking for great cameras. With the Galaxy Z Fold 2, Samsung might just have the first great foldable. Its design has been fortified significantly. Both of its screens are bigger and better than before. It uses the fastest smartphone processor you’ll find in an Android phone today. And best of all, the Fold 2 is even more capable than the last one. When it comes to hardware, Samsung did a fantastic job. But the future of devices like isn’t just about hardware. Some of Samsung’s software choices continue to confuse, and getting the most of the Fold 2 requires plenty of time and effort. Beyond that, lingering app compatibility issues mean devices like the Fold 2 still feel inconsistent. Samsung did the hard work of making hardware that’s worth using — now we just need developers to start taking these things seriously.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 is the quintessential example of a company listening to its customers and delivering a wide range of improvements they asked for. At $2,000, this is a phone that's still very much for early adopters, but the Z Fold 2 seems a lot less like a prototype and more like a viable product.

And yet, with all of those things stacked against it, I still think the Z Fold 2 is pretty great. I’d never recommend that anybody buy one, given the price. But unlike the first Fold, when I say the Z Fold 2 is an extravagant luxury most people shouldn’t even consider, I also have to admit that big screen is genuinely luxurious.

I see a lot of phones, and many are similar. The Galaxy Z Fold 2 is not. I'm skeptical of super-expensive phones nowadays, but this one delivers the goods: a genuinely new use case and form factor, with impeccable flagship performance and a few quirks, but no bugs.

Does Samsung's Galaxy Z Fold 2 finally keep the foldable phones' biggest promise of an everyday display and a larger one when you need it all in one pocketable device? If it did, that would make the Z Fold 2 the current best foldable phone given its display and hardware specs.

The foldable future of phones has taken a few different forms from several manufacturers, Samsung included, but Samsung’s marketing might will probably mean this version will prevail. It’s a phone and a tablet in one, which is still amazing. But foldables are still in their infancy, and the price matches the Z Fold 2’s lofty ambitions.

After spending a few days with Samsung’s second generation Galaxy Z Fold 2 Android smartphone that unfolds into a tablet, Lisa Gade offers you her impressions as a Fold 1 owner and as a tech reviewer. Clearly, much has improved over the first gen, with several design innovations from the Galaxy Z Flip finding their way to Samsung’s larger flexible OLED display phone. The outer display is now edge-to-edge and much larger, then inner UTG (ultra thin glass) display is larger, smoother and has 120Hz refresh, the hinge opens firmly at a variety of angles like a laptop, and the ugly inner camera cluster is replaced by an o-hole Infinity Display style selfie camera. Of course, it has the Snapdragon 865 Plus CPU, 5G and other internals on par with the Galaxy S20 and Note 20 line. Triple rear cameras and a new matte finish are here as well. Lisa will post a final review after testing the phone for a few weeks, before the Sept. 18 launch date. The price is scary as ever, at $1,999 in the US.

I can't stop looking at the Galaxy Z Fold 2. I keep catching myself glancing admiringly at its cool metal frame, 6.2-inch outer screen and thin bezels. The Z Fold 2 is such a complete, well-considered foldable phone, it's now hard to think of the original Galaxy Fold as anything other than a working mockup with a ridiculous $1,980 price tag.

Based on our limited time with the Galaxy Z Fold 2, it appears that Samsung has addressed all the complaints users had with the original Fold. It’s still a premium device with a specific target market, but the larger screens and better software make it a more attractive proposition for those who want to get their hands on a folding phone.

Qualcomm Adreno 650:
