Contra
El pequeño portátil Acer se ha hecho para su uso en instituciones educativas. La robusta carcasa lo demuestra. El procesador instalado tiene bastante potencia de cálculo para las aplicaciones básicas de oficina e internet. El portátil siempre va en silencio y no se calienta demasiado. El rápido SSD asegura un sistema veloz. Se puede cambiar fácilmente el SSD ya que el TravelMate tiene una escotilla de mantenimiento. El aguante de batería es sobresaliente. Esto se complementa con un teclado decentísimo. La garantía de fabricante de tres años no debería quedar sin mencionar. EL punto débil del portátil vuelve a ser la pantalla; Acer instala un modelo oscuro y dependiente del ángulo de visión.
Acer tiene en su línea una máquina de escribir y navegar compacta y muy duradera en el TravelMate que debería atraer a muchos estudiantes.
Sin embargo, nuestro modelo de pruebas no es precisamente una ganga a 550 Euros. El SSD y dos sistemas operativos Windows se reflejan en el precio. Para ahorrar dinero, puede merecer la pena echar un vistazo al modelo B117-M-P12K. Viene con un HDD convencional (500 GB) y sin sistema operativo Windows. Súmale el coste de una licencia usada de Windows 7 y el precio sube a unos 330 Euros.
