Chuwi Hi10 Max convertible en revisión - Una alternativa asequible a la Surface Pro con CPU Intel

Chuwi ha lanzado la nueva Hi10 Max, una tableta de bajo coste con pantalla IPS, procesador Intel y Windows 11 Home. Por un total de 319 dólares, el paquete incluye también un lápiz óptico y un teclado retroiluminado acoplable. Sin embargo, no debería tener expectativas demasiado altas en cuanto a rendimiento y duración de la batería.

Con la nueva Hi10 Max, Chuwi presenta un convertible asequible con teclado acoplable y lápiz óptico. Está impulsado por un procesador Intel N100 de 12ª generación, emparejado con 12 GB de RAM. La pantalla IPS cuenta con una alta resolución de 2.880 x 1.920 en una relación de aspecto 3:2, y la unidad SSD ofrece 512 GB de almacenamiento. Con un precio de 319 dólares por el paquete completo (incluyendo la tableta, el teclado y el lápiz óptico), dado su bajo precio, se compara principalmente con las tabletas de Android.

Estuche y conectividad

La Hi10 Max es una tableta sin pie de apoyo incorporado. Chuwi utiliza una construcción metálica, y la carcasa gris oscura parece de alta calidad, aunque se notan ligeros crujidos cuando se gira el dispositivo. La pantalla también se puede presionar visiblemente con un poco de fuerza, pero esto no afecta negativamente a la funcionalidad. Las entradas táctiles normales no causan este problema. El paquete incluye una cubierta trasera con un recorte para la cámara, cuya mitad inferior se fija magnéticamente a la carcasa. La parte superior puede abatirse para funcionar como soporte, lo que funciona bien en la práctica y ofrece una protección adicional. La cubierta opcional del teclado se fija a la parte inferior, pero la conexión no es especialmente estable y tiende a soltarse rápidamente.

Sólo 768 gramos componen el grosor de la tableta, que es de 9 mm. Con las dos cubiertas acopladas, el peso total aumenta a 1.375 gramos, lo que hace que el conjunto sea más grueso que la mayoría de los portátiles modernos, con algo menos de 2 cm. La compacta fuente de alimentación de 36 vatios pesa 135 gramos.

En cuanto a características, el Hi10 Max cubre lo esencial, incluyendo Wi-Fi 6 (aunque 1x1), Bluetooth 5.2 y, por supuesto, puertos USB. Junto a los dos puertos USB-C, también hay un puerto USB-A, que resulta muy práctico en el uso diario. Se incluye una salida micro HDMI, aunque requiere un adaptador. La tableta no ofrece opciones de mantenimiento o actualización. En cuanto a las cámaras, tanto la cámara frontal de 5 MP como el sensor trasero de 8 MP con autoenfoque capturan imágenes decentes.

Dispositivos de entrada - Pantalla táctil y teclado retroiluminado

La pantalla táctil capacitiva ofrece un deslizamiento suave y funciona sin problemas. El lápiz óptico incluido (H7, con 1024 niveles de presión y una pila AAAA) resulta cómodo en la mano, aunque no se puede acoplar al dispositivo. El teclado de la cubierta opcional está iluminado, pero el recorrido de las teclas es corto y éstas son algo ruidosas. En general, la experiencia de escritura es decente y mejor que la de utilizar un teclado en pantalla. Sin embargo, sólo está disponible la distribución en inglés. Dispone de retroiluminación blanca de dos niveles, lo que es una característica agradable. El ClickPad es bastante pequeño, pero cumple su función.

Chuwi utiliza una pantalla IPS de 12,96 pulgadas de LG Philips en una relación de aspecto 3:2, con una alta resolución de 2.880 x 1.920 píxeles. La impresión visual subjetiva del panel de 60 Hz es en general bastante buena, ya que el contenido se muestra nítidamente con colores suficientemente vivos. Sin embargo, hay algo de granulosidad menor en las superficies brillantes debido a la pantalla táctil, y pueden observarse ligeros efectos fantasma, ya que los tiempos de respuesta son un poco lentos. También hay halos visibles en las imágenes oscuras, pero no se utiliza PWM (modulación por anchura de impulsos). Los reflejos del panel brillante pueden ser un problema en exteriores, pero la estabilidad del ángulo de visión es aceptable.

En nuestras mediciones con el software profesional CalMAN, la pantalla alcanza un brillo medio de más de 400 cd/m² y una elevada relación de contraste máxima. Dado el rango de precios, esto es bastante impresionante. Sin embargo, el perfil de color preinstalado muestra un notable tinte azul, que pudimos eliminar con nuestra calibración (el perfil está disponible para su descarga gratuita en el recuadro de la derecha). También conseguimos reducir significativamente las desviaciones de color, aunque el valor del 100% sigue superando ligeramente el objetivo de 3. Con una cobertura sRGB casi completa, la pantalla es incluso adecuada para la edición de imágenes.

Tiempos de respuesta del display

Los tiempos de respuesta del display muestran lo rápido que puede cambiar la pantalla de un color al siguiente. Tiempos lentos de respuesta pueden llevar a imágenes persistentes alrededor de objetos en movimiento o a displays borrosos. Particularmente los aficionados a los juegos 3D frenéticos deberían usar una pantalla con tiempos de respuesta rápidos.

Para atenuar el brillo de pantalla algunos portátiles están encendiendo y apagando la retroiluminación muy rápidamente. Esto se hace a una frecuencia que no debiera detectarse a simple vista. Si la frecuencia es demasiado lenta, la gente sensible podría experimentar problemas visuales, dolores de cabeza e incluso ver parpadeos.

Rendimiento - Intel N100 y 12 GB RAM

 
 
 

La Chuwi Hi10 Max está alimentada por el Intel N100un procesador que suele encontrarse en los mini PC. Está basado en la generación Alder Lake de Intel y cuenta con 4 núcleos de eficiencia sin hyperthreading, con una velocidad de reloj de hasta 3,4 GHz. Puede consumir hasta 13 vatios, lo que lo convierte en uno de los sistemas N100 más rápidos de nuestra base de datos. El rendimiento se mantiene estable incluso bajo carga prolongada y mientras funciona con batería.

Con 12 GB de RAM, el Hi10 Max ofrece suficiente margen de rendimiento para las tareas básicas. Gracias a la unidad SSD NVMe, el sistema responde rápidamente a las entradas y proporciona suficiente almacenamiento con sus 512 GB de capacidad. La GPU integrada UHD Graphics gestiona bien los vídeos de alta resolución, pero el dispositivo no es adecuado para los juegos. Para jugar, limítese a los sencillos juegos de mesa o de cartas disponibles en la Microsoft Store.

Emisiones y energía

Con la Hi10 Max se incluye un ventilador, aunque sólo funciona a veces. El ventilador suele permanecer apagado o funcionar en silencio cuando se utiliza a diario. Sólo se vuelve más ruidoso cuando está a plena carga, alcanzando un pico de 33 dB(A). La unidad de prueba no mostró más ruidos electrónicos.

Las temperaturas superficiales de la Hi10 Max no son problemáticas. A plena carga, medimos un máximo de 113°F en la parte trasera, lo que puede notarse durante la manipulación pero no es molesto. Una vez colocada la cubierta trasera, no hay problemas. Durante la prueba de estrés con carga combinada de CPU/GPU, el SoC consume brevemente 19 vatios antes de estabilizarse rápidamente en 15 vatios.

Los dos altavoces estéreo están entre los peores que hemos probado hasta ahora. Son muy silenciosos y suenan extremadamente metálico. Por tanto, los altavoces integrados deben considerarse más bien una solución de emergencia y es aconsejable utilizar altavoces externos o auriculares en su lugar.

La duración de la batería es un punto débil de la Hi10 Max, ya que otros dispositivos comparables son muy superiores en este aspecto. En nuestra prueba Wi-Fi con un brillo de 150 cd/m² (equivalente al 28% del brillo máximo del dispositivo de prueba), sólo duró 5,5 horas, y apenas 4 horas con el brillo al máximo.

La Chuwi Hi10 Max es una tableta/convertible asequible que compite en precio con las tabletas de Android. Gracias a Windows, el dispositivo es muy versátil, y el procesador Intel N100 proporciona un rendimiento suficiente para las tareas cotidianas básicas. Además, viene con una gran unidad SSD. La brillante pantalla IPS, el teclado retroiluminado y la entrada de lápiz son también ventajas notables. Dispone de muchos puertos, incluido un puerto USB-A estándar, muy práctico para el uso diario. Nos sorprendió gratamente la calidad de la pantalla IPS teniendo en cuenta el rango de precios, aunque podría beneficiarse de una calibración si fuera posible.

Chuwi ofrece la asequible tableta convertible Hi10 Max, muy versátil gracias a su CPU Intel y Windows. Sin embargo, la duración de la batería es corta y los altavoces decepcionan.

Presenta claras desventajas frente a la competencia de Android, sobre todo en términos de autonomía. Los altavoces estéreo no dejan de impresionar, y no hay opciones de mantenimiento disponibles. En este rango de precios, no hay verdaderos competidores de Windows. Por ejemplo, el Surface Go 4, que cuenta con el procesador Intel N200 más rápido, es significativamente más caro, incluso sin la cubierta del teclado.
