35 W Core i7-11375H vs. 28 W Core i7-1165G7: 10 to 30 percent faster multi-thread performance

Nuestras primeras pruebas internas del Core i7-11375H están disponibles y son sólo ligeramente mejores que el Core i7-1185G7 de 25 W. Los OEMs tendrán que explotar su potencial Turbo Boost tanto como sea posible o el rendimiento no será mucho mejor que el de una CPU Tiger Lake-U.

El nuevo Intel Core i7-11375H se diseñó para cubrir el hueco de rendimiento entre la serie Tiger Lake-U de bajo consumo y la serie Comet Lake-H de alto consumo. En realidad, sin embargo, el procesador es más bien un Core i7-1185G7 overclockeado, para bien o para mal.

Según nuestros hallazgos con una muestra de prueba del Vaio Z de venta al público, el rendimiento multihilo en bruto es entre un 3 y un 19 por ciento más rápido que el de un portátil Core i7-1185G7 medio, dependiendo de la sostenibilidad de Turbo Boost del sistema Core de la serie U. La diferencia de rendimiento es un poco más amplia, hasta un 28%, en comparación con el portátil medio Core i7-1165G7. Mientras tanto, el rendimiento de un solo hilo es sólo entre un 6 y un 7 por ciento más rápido.

Por supuesto, es poco probable que los actuales propietarios de portátiles Core ix de 11ª generación se actualicen al Core i7-11375H, por lo que el aumento marginal del rendimiento no es un problema. Intel quiere cortejar a los propietarios de portátiles Whiskey Lake-U más antiguos para que se actualicen, que es donde el aumento de rendimiento es significativamente mayor. La potencia de la CPU y la GPU son aproximadamente 2 y 4 veces más rápidas, respectivamente, para un rendimiento por vatio y un rendimiento por gramo significativamente mayores sin necesidad de recurrir a una GPU GeForce MX.

El rendimiento multihilo sigue estando ligeramente por detrás del AMD Ryzen 7 4700U, mientras que la GPU Iris Xe G7 integrada es sólo ligeramente más rápida que la Radeon RX Vega 8 en la mayoría de los títulos. El Core i7-11375H es ciertamente una fuerte opción de CPU para Ultrabook de Intel, pero las CPUs móviles AMD Zen 2 del año pasado aún pueden dar una buena pelea.
