¿Qué tan bien puede la nueva AMD Radeon 680M ejecutar Cyberpunk 2077 o Crysis Remastered? Bastante bien para una GPU integrada. El rendimiento puede ser más de dos veces más rápido que las Intel Iris Xe 96 EU en algunos casos para estar casi a la par con la serie discreta Nvidia GeForce 1650 en ocasiones.

Uno de los aspectos más interesantes de la serie Zen 3+ para móviles es su GPU integrada masivamente actualizada. La actualización es tan importante que AMD ha decidido abandonar el anterior nombre de RX Vega para sustituirlo por uno más sencillo de Radeon. Los portátiles de este año con CPUs de la serie Ryzen 6000U o 6000H de gama alta empezarán a llevar gráficos integrados Radeon 660M o 680M para suceder a la serie RX Vega de última generación.

Asus ha tenido la amabilidad de enviarnos su Zephyrus G14 GA402R equipado con el Ryzen 9 6900HS Y una Radeon 680M integrada para las pruebas. Los resultados de nuestro benchmark comparan esta Radeon 680M con la media de las Iris Xe 96 EUs en nuestra base de datos, además de las Iris Xe 80 EUs y las GPUs de nivel básico de Nvidia GeForce como la MX150, MX450y la GTX 1650.

En las pruebas sintéticas de 3DMark, la Radeon 680M se sitúa cómodamente entre la GTX 1650 Max-Q y la MX450 para estar entre un 40 y un 60 por ciento por delante de la Iris Xe 96 EU. Es impresionante que la GPU integrada de AMD también sea capaz de mantener su ventaja sobre la MX450 y la Iris Xe 96 EU en todos los juegos probados, a veces hasta el doble. Elden Ring, en particular, puede funcionar a 30 FPS a 1080p con una configuración media, mientras que tanto la Iris Xe como la MX450 caen con frecuencia por debajo de esa marca debido a su menor rendimiento.

Ahora bien, vale la pena mencionar que la Radeon 680M de nuestro ejemplo está emparejada con la rapidísima y poco común CPU Ryzen 9 6900HS de la serie H. El rendimiento será indudablemente peor que el que hemos mostrado aquí en portátiles con la misma GPU pero con una CPU Ryzen serie U más lenta. Aun así, los resultados son muy prometedores para la Radeon 680M en general.
