MagyarXiaomi 12 Pro revealed globally with only 256 GB of storage and plenty of flagship hardware
Xiaomi has launched its premier flagship smartphone globally, which combines a 6.73-inch AMOLED display with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC. Released in China last December, the Xiaomi 12 Pro also has LPDDR5 RAM, UFS 3.1 storage and a 120 Hz refresh rate. Additionally, the Xiaomi 12 Pro has three 50 MP cameras, supports 120 W wired charging and has a 4,600 mAh battery.
For some reason, Xiaomi has decided against launching the green leather-effect colourway that it sells in China. Likewise, Xiaomi will not be offering an 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage SKU either. Incidentally, the Xiaomi 12 Pro launches globally with MIUI 13 based on Android 12. Hence, the smartphone should receive at least Android 14, and potentially Android 15 if the Xiaomi 11T series is anything to go by. Xiaomi has not confirmed this at the time of publication.
As expected, the Xiaomi 12 Pro will go toe to toe with other flagships regarding pricing. Specifically, the Xiaomi 12 Pro will start at €1,049, undercutting the entry-level Galaxy S22 Ultra by €200. However, the Xiaomi 12 Pro also has 256 GB of storage for that money, double the Galaxy S22 Ultra.
Unfortunately, the Xiaomi 12 Pro peaks at 256 GB of storage, with Xiaomi only offering 8 GB or 12 GB of RAM memory configurations. In comparison, the 12 GB of RAM option will retail for €1,149. For reference, all Xiaomi 12 Pro pre-orders will ship with a complimentary Xiaomi Watch S1 Active, which retails for €179.
