El modelo de pruebas que nos proporcionaron tiene un potente procesador Core i5 que debería dar más que suficiente potencia de cálculo para la mayoría de potenciales usuarios. El portátil hasta permite jugar - aunque sólo hasta cierto punto. El ordenador va en silencio en su manejo rutinario y no suele calentarse excesivamente. Tampoco le falta almacenamiento: El HDD instalado tiene una capacidad bruta de 750 GB. Los usuarios que quieran más almacenamiento o prefieran un veloz SSD pueden reemplazar el HDD rápida y fácilmente gracias a la escotilla de mantenimiento. La pantalla mate HD no ganará ningún premio, pero ofrece brillo y contraste aceptables. Por desgracia, HP sólo incluye un año de garantía. Esto ya no es actual - después de todo, otros fabricantes ofrecen sus portátiles low-cost con una garantía de dos años.
La línea 350 G2 es parte de los business básicos de HP. La línea está diseñada para las masas y se adecua correspondientemente al sector low-cost. Por tanto, hay que aceptar algunas restricciones. HP ha, por ejemplo, encontrado un buen equilibrio de precio, configuración y rendimiento que harán la línea atractiva para muchos usuarios. Lenovo demuestra que puede salirle el tiro por la culata con el rival directo, el B50-80.
A un precio de 470 Euros, nuestro modelo de pruebas no parece ser una ganga a primera vista. Sin embargo, el precio se pone en perspectiva cuando tienes en cuenta que trae un procesador Core i5 y la versión profesional de 64-bit de Windows 7 y Windows 8.1. Los precios arrancan en torno a los 250 Euros, y las opciones se amplían con los modelos de la línea idénticamente construída HP 355 G2. Esta última está configurada con APUs AMD, y arrancan en los 260 Euros.
