El MSI GT83VR sólo está dirigido a un pequeño grupo de usuarios, aún si ignoras el alto precio.
Casi ningún jugón declinaría el rendimiento de dos GPUs Pascal, pero la configuración SLI tiene sus propios problemas. La lista incluye dependencia de drivers, alto consumo de energía, y ventiladores ruidosos: El GT83VR no es para los débiles de corazón.
El aspecto de movilidad tampoco está bien cubierto aquí. Con 5.5kg y un grosor de 7cm, el portátil marca un nuevo récord negativo, por lo que no se le puede aplicar realmente el término "portátil".
MSI, empero, diseñó el sistema de 18" como un reemplazo de sobremesa, y convence mucho más cuando lo miras desde esa perspectiva. Empezando con los puertos, la mantenibilidad (subóptima), hasta las herramientas: El GT83VR está diseñado para los jugones que no quieren sacrificar características ni rendimiento y a los que les gusta tunear su sistema (control de ventilador, overclocking, etc.).
El teclado mecánico sin rival confirma la reivindicación al liderato de MSI en el segmento de gama alta. El sonido y las temperaturas también convencen. Sin embargo, el siguiente modelo debería traer un panel UHD para que la configuración SLI tenga sentido. El actual panel FHD apenas es un reto para las gráficas.
Con una valoración final del 87%, el MSI GT83VR puede vencer al competidor SLI Schenker XMG U727.
