Como su nombre indica, el Lenovo ThinkPad T14s Gen 6 AMD utiliza el mismo diseño que el ThinkPad T14s Gen 6 Qualcomm. También tiene un aspecto muy similar al ThinkPad T14s Gen 5 Intel. En consecuencia, no dedicaremos mucho tiempo a describir el diseño y las opciones de conectividad, ya que hemos cubierto ambos aspectos en las otras T14sreviews.

Para resumirlo en pocas palabras: El ThinkPad T14s Gen 6 AMD utiliza la familiar construcción ThinkPad de fibra de carbono y magnesio, que le confiere ligereza y una calidad superior. Esto se extiende a las bisagras, que se abren a 180 grados, pero no permiten la apertura con una sola mano. El único inconveniente real del diseño negro, que ahora tiene un aspecto más sigiloso con las bisagras y los logotipos oscurecidos, es que el chasis se ensuciará rápidamente. Dispositivos de entrada

El teclado y el touchpad son idénticos a los del ThinkPad T14s Gen 6 Qualcomm. En ambos aspectos, el ThinkPad ofrece una experiencia de usuario digna de un auténtico portátil de negocios: El teclado retroiluminado (dos niveles de brillo) ofrece una gran experiencia de escritura con 1,5 mm de recorrido y una buena distribución que incluye incluso teclas de flecha de buen tamaño y teclas de función agrupadas. El touchpad, por su parte, tiene una superficie lisa y un agradable clic mecánico. Es ligeramente más pequeño debido a la presencia de las teclas físicas para el TrackPoint, pero dicho TrackPoint es también una gran alternativa al touchpad, ya que permite movimientos de ratón precisos y sin esfuerzo y un desplazamiento fácil a través del botón central del ratón.

Para atenuar el brillo de pantalla algunos portátiles están encendiendo y apagando la retroiluminación muy rápidamente. Esto se hace a una frecuencia que no debiera detectarse a simple vista. Rendimiento: Ryzen AI 7 se mantiene estable bajo carga sostenida

Por el momento, sólo hay una única CPU disponible en el Lenovo ThinkPad T14s Gen 6 AMD, la AMD Ryzen AI 7 Pro 360. En consecuencia, la única GPU que incorpora este portátil profesional es la AMD Radeon 880M. Por el momento, también hay sólo dos opciones para la RAM, 32 o 64 GB de memoria LPDDR5x-7500 soldada. Una única unidad SSD M.2 2280 PCIe NVMe 4.0 hace las veces de almacenamiento, con una capacidad de hasta 1 TB.

Condiciones de prueba

Lenovo ofrece tres modos de energía diferentes para el consumo de energía de la CPU, todos ellos están disponibles a través de la configuración de Windows.

  • Mejor duración de la batería: Límite de potencia 1 (sostenida) 11 vatios / Límite de potencia 2 (ráfaga corta) 14 vatios
  • Equilibrado: Límite de potencia 1 (sostenida) 15 vatios / Límite de potencia 2 (ráfaga corta) 26 vatios
  • Mejor rendimiento: Límite de potencia 1 (sostenida) 25 vatios / Límite de potencia 2 (ráfaga corta) 32 vatios

Procesador

El AMD Ryzen AI 7 Pro 360 es una CPU Zen 5 de la generación de CPU "Strix Point" más reciente de AMD. Es un procesador con ocho núcleos de cálculo, que son una mezcla de núcleos Zen 5 y Zen 5c. Con SMT, la CPU tiene 16 hilos y las velocidades de reloj oscilan entre dos y cinco GHz. En comparación con el Ryzen AI 9 365tiene dos núcleos de CPU menos. Nuestra lista comparativa de procesadores puede utilizarse para una comparación exhaustiva con otras CPU.

Esta es la primera vez que probamos el Ryzen AI 7 Pro 360. Su rendimiento es el que cabría esperar: En Cinebench 2024, consigue vencer fácilmente a las CPU Meteor Lake U de Intel en el ThinkPad T14s Gen 5, tanto en pruebas comparativas de un solo núcleo como multinúcleo. En comparación con la versión Qualcomm del ThinkPad T14s Gen 6el modelo equipado con AMD está bastante a la par. Frente a Intel Lunar Lake, la CPU Ryzen AI se queda atrás en el rendimiento de un solo núcleo, pero tira hacia adelante en escenarios multinúcleo. Tanto el Apple M4 como el AMD Ryzen AI 9 365 tienen la ventaja en general, pero el Ryzen AI 7 ciertamente no se queda atrás.

Una ventaja cuando se pone en contra de la versión de Qualcomm: El AMD T14s G6 consigue mantener su rendimiento incluso bajo carga sostenida, mientras que la CPU Qualcomm tiene que ralentizarse un poco.

Funcionando con batería, la CPU se ralentiza aproximadamente un 30 por ciento.

Emisiones: El ThinkPad T14s Gen 6 AMD no se vuelve ruidoso bajo carga media

Ruido del sistema

El Lenovo ThinkPad T14s Gen 6 AMD muestra un comportamiento peculiar en lo que respecta al ruido del ventilador: Mientras que el único ventilador permanece en silencio cuando el dispositivo está en reposo en la configuración de potencia más baja, el sistema de refrigeración se activa cuando se configura en Equilibrado o Mejor Rendimiento. Sin embargo, permanece casi silencioso, con sólo 27,6 dB(a) en Mejor Rendimiento.

Aunque no es ideal que el ventilador funcione con actividad cero, el nivel de ruido no aumenta en absoluto con carga media. En esta prueba que se realiza en modo Equilibrado, el ThinkPad T14s G6 AMD se mantiene en 26,5 dB(a). El ruido del ventilador sólo aumenta significativamente bajo carga máxima (modo: Mejor Rendimiento), que es cuando el portátil Lenovo con Punto Strix alcanza aproximadamente los 42 dB(a). Así que, en general, si quiere evitar el ruido del ventilador, simplemente no utilice el dispositivo en el modo Mejor Rendimiento.

No detectamos ningún quejido de la bobina con este portátil Lenovo.

El cargador suministrado por Lenovo suministra 65 vatios al sistema. Como se ha indicado, el ThinkPad T14s Gen 6 AMD consume hasta 66,4 vatios, por lo que supera ligeramente la capacidad del cargador. Dado que el consumo de energía disminuye rápidamente, esto no es un problema en absoluto.

El veredicto es claro: mientras que el T14s Gen 6 AMD supera fácilmente al modelo Intel Core Ultra en nuestra prueba Wi-Fi (brillo de pantalla de 150 cd/m²), no está ni siquiera cerca del modelo Snapdragon X Elite en resistencia.
