El Corsair One i160 es un PC compacto para juegos que contiene un hardware extremadamente potente en una carcasa impresionantemente pequeña. Si buscas un PC para juegos de última generación y no quieres comprometer el rendimiento, entonces una CPU Intel y una GPU NVIDIA son un buen punto de partida, ya que ambos fabricantes de equipos originales ofrecen actualmente algunos de los hardware de juegos más potentes que el dinero puede comprar. Claramente, Corsair pensó lo mismo, con un Core i9-9900K y una GeForce RTX 2080 Ti en un chasis de 12 litros. La empresa ha podido hacerlo gracias a un refrigerador todo en uno (AIO) personalizado, que consta de dos radiadores y un ventilador de 140 mm que se coloca en la parte superior de la caja. El ventilador aspira aire a través de dos lados del dispositivo, convirtiendo efectivamente el chasis en una chimenea para enfriar los dos radiadores. El concepto funciona, aunque nuestras pruebas revelarán si hay algún defecto en su diseño.

Sin embargo, un PC para juegos necesita algo más que una potente CPU y GPU, con Corsair que incluye 32 GB de RAM DDR4-2666 y 2,5 TB de almacenamiento. Desgraciadamente, se trata de 2,5 TB de almacenamiento combinado, ya que Corsair ha emparejado una unidad M.2 2280 SSD de 512 GB con una unidad de disco duro de 2 TB de 2,5 pulgadas, la última de las cuales no esperábamos ver en un dispositivo que se vende al por menor por casi 3.399,99 USD.

El One i160 se puede pedir directamente a Corsair, que preinstala todos los componentes, incluidas la CPU y la GPU. Sin embargo, la compañía no vende la caja ni la solución de refrigeración patentada por separado, por lo que debe comprar el One i160 si desea cualquiera de los dos.

Como se ha mencionado anteriormente, el One i160 tiene una caja de 12 litros, que Corsair ha construido principalmente con aluminio. Nuestra unidad de revisión se ve y se siente superior, con su discreto acabado negro yuxtapuesto con dos largas tiras RGB en el panel frontal. Corsair preinstala su propio software iCUE para personalizar la iluminación RGB según sus preferencias.

El One i160 pesa casi 7,5 kg, lo que no se puede esperar teniendo en cuenta lo compacto que es. Sin embargo, en nuestra opinión, este peso aumenta la sensación de calidad. Por cierto, Corsair también ha maximizado la disipación de calor.

Conectividad

Corsair ha equipado el One i160 con una placa madre MSI Z370I Gaming Pro Carbon AC, que viene provista de puertos. Estos se complementan con los puertos integrados en la parte posterior de la GeForce RTX 2080 Ti, que pueden alimentar hasta tres pantallas de 4K simultáneamente. La mayoría de los puertos se encuentran en la parte posterior del One i160, pero Corsair ha incluido dos puertos USB tipo A, una toma de auriculares y un puerto HDMI 2.0b en la parte frontal para mayor comodidad.

El One i160 tiene una conexión Gigabit Ethernet e integra un módulo Intel Dual-Band Wireless AC-8265 también para hasta IEEE 802.11ac Wi-Fi. Este último también soporta Bluetooth 4.2 para conectar periféricos.

Seguridad

Si tiene la intención de llevar con frecuencia su One i160 a las fiestas LAN pero le preocupa evitar que se lo roben, entonces tenga la seguridad de que Corsair lo tiene cubierto. La empresa ha incorporado una ranura de bloqueo Kensington para asegurar el dispositivo cuando se está lejos de él, minimizando las posibilidades de que se pierda. También hay un Módulo de Plataforma de Confianza 2.0 (TPM 2.0) a bordo, pero este es un requisito de Microsoft para todos los dispositivos vendidos con Windows 10 preinstalado. Corsair no incluye ninguna otra característica de seguridad de hardware como, por ejemplo, un escáner de huellas dactilares.

Mantenimiento

Si el rendimiento del One i160 no es suficiente o si necesita más almacenamiento, entonces no tema, ya que el dispositivo puede abrirse fácilmente y actualizarse. En primer lugar, debe quitar el ventilador de 140 mm en la parte superior de la carcasa, lo que se puede hacer sin necesidad de utilizar herramientas. A continuación, debe quitar dos tornillos de los dos paneles laterales, aunque tenga en cuenta que ambos paneles tienen intercambiadores de calor conectados a ellos, por lo que no puede poner a un lado los paneles laterales sin desconectar todo el AIO. Sin embargo, puede cambiar la RAM y el disco duro sin necesidad de desmontarlos. Desafortunadamente, debe quitar la placa base o la GPU para acceder a la unidad SSD, ya que se encuentra en la parte posterior de la primera y, por lo demás, es inaccesible.

Rendimiento

El Core i9-9900K es actualmente la principal CPU de escritorio de Intel, que tiene ocho núcleos de procesamiento físico y es compatible con Hyper-Threading, lo que significa que puede ejecutar dos subprocesos por núcleo simultáneamente. Intel estipula que el Core i9-9900K tiene una potencia de diseño térmico (TDP) de 95 W, aunque puede alcanzar hasta 125 W a velocidades máximas de reloj. El Core i9-9900K también es apto para overclocking, aunque desaconsejamos hacerlo en el One i160 debido a las limitaciones de refrigeración.

Nuestra unidad de revisión todavía puede lograr buenos resultados en pruebas de referencia sintéticas, incluso en la configuración de las existencias. Sin embargo, el Core i9-9900K se queda corto con respecto al Ryzen 7 3700X, con un déficit de rendimiento que se reduce en gran medida al enfriamiento. También sometimos a nuestra unidad de revisión a una prueba de referencia de Cinebench R15 Multi 64Bit para ver cómo mantenía el rendimiento de su CPU bajo una carga prolongada. Como sospechábamos, el Core i9-9900K sólo puede explotar parcialmente las velocidades de su reloj turbo en un chasis tan pequeño, con una puntuación de CB R15 Multi 64Bit que cae constantemente desde un máximo de 1.919 puntos en el segundo paso hasta un mínimo de 1.864 puntos en el séptimo. Sin embargo, el sistema subió a 1.886 puntos antes de caer a 1.812 puntos. Las puntuaciones del índice de referencia fluctuaron posteriormente entre 1.804 y 1.847 puntos, y el sistema se estabilizó en torno a 1.840 puntos al final del ciclo de referencia. En general, el One i160 generalmente obtiene una puntuación alrededor de 100 puntos más baja que nuestro banco de pruebas con motor Core i9-9900K.

El Core i9-9900K funcionó como se esperaba durante nuestras pruebas de CB R15 Multi 64Bit. La CPU alcanzó incluso ocasionalmente los 5.0 GHz, a los que consumió 125 W. Sin embargo, en general dibujó alrededor de 95 W durante nuestro bucle CB R15 Multi 64Bit, con una caída de 125 W después del noveno bucle de referencia.

Rendimiento del sistema

Nuestra unidad de revisión funcionó bien durante nuestras pruebas, aunque su rápida NVMe SSD marca una gran diferencia aquí. El disco duro convencional resultó ser un cuello de botella durante nuestras pruebas de juego, ya que los juegos se cargaban más lentamente que si se hubieran guardado en una unidad SSD de NVMe. Recomendamos reemplazar la unidad SSD de 512 GB por una unidad más grande y quitar el disco duro si planea instalar muchos juegos, ya que el disco duro de 2 TB existente retiene el sistema artificialmente.

Como ya se ha mencionado, Corsair equipa el One i160 con una SSD rápida y una unidad de disco duro convencional mucho más lenta. El primero es un Samsung PM961 de 512 GB, que ahora tiene unas pocas generaciones de antigüedad, y el segundo es un disco duro de 2 TB de Seagate.

El PM961 todavía funcionaba bien en pruebas de referencia sintéticas, aunque habríamos esperado algo más nuevo como el PM981 en un sistema de 3.400 dólares. Del mismo modo, mientras que el Seagate de 2 TB es rápido según los estándares de HDD, sus velocidades medias de transferencia de 107 MB/s son terriblemente lentas en comparación con las alcanzadas por la unidad de disco duro del sistema PM961.

Aunque no puede añadir una tercera unidad, puede cambiar las preinstaladas para obtener una mayor capacidad o alternativas más rápidas. En resumen, recomendamos equipar el sistema con una unidad SSD de 1 TB o superior si es posible, ya que proporcionará una experiencia de juego mejor que la de un disco duro de 2 TB.

Corsair no sólo equipa el One i160 con una potente CPU, sino también con la mejor GPU para juegos del mercado. En concreto, el One i160 viene con una MSI GeForce RTX 2080 Ti VENTUS OC, aunque Corsair ha modificado la GPU para adaptarla a una carcasa tan compacta. También ha incorporado su AIO patentado.

Los procesadores Core i9-9900K y GeForce RTX 2080 Ti funcionan excepcionalmente bien en pruebas de rendimiento sintéticas, y en algunas de ellas sólo se quedan cortos con respecto a nuestro sistema de pruebas TITAN RTX de NVIDIA. Hemos emparejado este último con un AMD Ryzen 7 2700X, que retiene un poco la GPU, y esto permite que el One i160 triunfe en 3DMark 11.

El One i160 es lo suficientemente potente como para jugar todos los juegos modernos de triple A sin problemas en 4K con gráficos al máximo, aunque algunos títulos como Anno 1800 y Metro Exodus tienen una media inferior a 60 FPS. TITAN RTX superaría a GeForce RTX 2080 Ti si no fuera por su CPU más débil, aunque la diferencia entre ambos en juegos como Call of Duty Black Ops 4 es de sólo 1 FPS a 4K y gráficos máximos.

También sometimos a nuestra unidad de revisión a una prueba de juego prolongada para evaluar su rendimiento bajo carga sostenida. Usamos The Witcher 3  para esto, que fijamos en 1080p, ultra gráficos y dejamos funcionando durante una hora. No movimos el personaje durante este tiempo y medimos cualquier cambio en el FPS. El sistema cayó alrededor de 5 FPS al final de la prueba, pero aún así funcionaba a alrededor de 131 FPS, por lo que no debería notarse ningún estrangulamiento cuando se juega.

Ruido del ventilador

El One i160 funciona silenciosamente al ralentí, aunque su ventilador de 140 mm se hace audible bajo carga sostenida. Sin embargo, el dispositivo tiene tres ventiladores en total, incluidos los de la GPU y la fuente de alimentación de 600 W SFX. Por lo tanto, oirás el zumbido del One i160 cuando juegues.

Sin embargo, ninguno de los tres aficionados nos pareció especialmente perturbador durante nuestras pruebas. Tampoco notamos ninguna interferencia eléctrica como el quejido de la bobina cuando jugábamos.

Mientras que la carcasa de aluminio también disipa el exceso de calor, las temperaturas superficiales alcanzaron un máximo de 38 °C en la parte frontal del dispositivo durante nuestra prueba y sólo eran 5 °C más altas en el ventilador de 140 mm. Se esperaba que los lados del dispositivo permanecieran mucho más fríos, ya que estas áreas absorben aire frío en lugar de calor residual de escape.

También sometimos a nuestra unidad de revisión a una prueba de esfuerzo combinada de FurMark y Prime95 para llevar el sistema a sus límites. Dejamos la prueba de esfuerzo en marcha durante una hora, durante la cual las temperaturas del núcleo de la CPU alcanzaron los 80 °C, es decir, unos 20 °C por debajo de su temperatura crítica de funcionamiento. Mejor aún, las temperaturas del núcleo de la GPU alcanzaron su punto máximo a sólo 72 °C, por lo que no deberías experimentar ningún estrangulamiento de la GPU durante sesiones de juego prolongadas. Del mismo modo, la CPU funcionaba continuamente a unos 4,3 GHz durante nuestra prueba de esfuerzo, por lo que tampoco debería estrangular. Podría mantener velocidades de reloj más altas con mejor ventilación y más potencia, pero eso no debería tener mucho efecto en los juegos.

Medimos el consumo de energía en ralentí en torno a 51,5 W, que es excepcionalmente bajo. Esto se eleva a 359 W en los juegos, pero sigue siendo considerablemente inferior a los 437 W que consumieron nuestro sistema de pruebas comparable AMD Ryzen 7 2700X y NVIDIA TITAN RTX mientras jugábamos a The Witcher 3.

El Corsair One i160 es un PC para juegos de alta calidad que ofrece un rendimiento fantástico gracias a su potente hardware y su eficaz refrigeración. Nuestro principal problema con la máquina es la inclusión de un disco duro, que ocasionalmente ralentiza el sistema. Sin embargo, esto es sólo una mancha por parte de One i160.

En resumen, el One i160 es el PC compacto perfecto para juegos. Su rápida CPU y GPU se combinan para ofrecer un rendimiento excepcional, aunque se puede esperar lo mismo después de gastar casi 3.500 dólares. Corsair también incluye una garantía de dos años, pero podría haber sido más largo en nuestra opinión a este precio.

En general, el One i160 es más adecuado para alguien a quien le guste el diseño compacto o no quiera construir un PC por cualquier razón. La máquina también es actualizable, pero debería estar preparada para el futuro durante varios años.

El Corsair One i160 consigue un excelente equilibrio entre ser un PC de pequeño formato y un monstruo de los juegos. Su innovador sistema de refrigeración es eficaz, aunque un poco ruidoso, pero el Corsair One i160 no decepcionará.
